Administrators Gail Posted January 9, 2012 Administrators Posted January 9, 2012 Scientist Stephen Hawking confesses that women are a complete mystery: Quote: Women are a mystery to British physicist Hawking LONDON | Thu Jan 5, 2012 11:40am EST (Reuters) - The biggest mystery in the universe perplexing one of the world's best known scientists is -- women. When New Scientist magazine asked "Brief History of Time" author Stephen Hawking what he thinks about most, the Cambridge University professor renowned for unraveling some of the most complex questions in modern physics answered: "Women. They are a complete mystery." The wheelchair-bound Hawking, who only recently retired from a post once held by Isaac Newton, talked to the magazine in the run-up to celebrations for his 70th birthday about his biggest scientific blunder and his hopes for modern science. Hawking is due to celebrate his 70th birthday on Sunday with a public symposium entitled "The State of the Universe" at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Theoretical Cosmology. Hawking heads a list of speakers including British Astronomer Royal Martin Rees, Nobel Prize-winning physicist Saul Perlmutter and Kip Thorne, one of the world's leading theoretical physicists. (Reporting by Paul Casciato, editing by Steve Addison) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Since he's already figured out why Someone he can't see cannot exist, understanding someone he can see should be a lot easier. Quote

Moderators LynnDel Posted January 10, 2012 Moderators Posted January 10, 2012 That's a nice attitude, Bravus. I'm wondering if that goal of loving should extend toward all humanity, not just women. Surely women aren't all that hard to understand! Men like to claim to be one-dimensional, but that certainly isn't the case in any of those I know, and women aren't necessarily cloaked in mystery or the sole purveyors of illogical thought, either! Gibs Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Did you ever wonder if women understand us any more than we do them, well they don't. LOL, what the mystery is how could some so pretty could love some of us who are as ugly as a mud fence! Ain't ya glad though! 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ

doug yowell Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 [/quote=Gibs]Did you ever wonder if women understand us any more than we do them, well they don't. Yep. The real problem is that men KNOW that they know NOTHING about women and women KNOW that they know EVERYTHING about men. Quote

Doug, it has something to do with knowing one's place... miz3 has a workable philosophy (survivor plan?) when it comes to that LOL Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
joeb Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Sounds about right. That's why I agree with Hawking on this. Women cannot be understood.
