Lysimachus Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Club12, AT Jones taught that the 42 mos. of Rev 13: couldn't happen until the deadly wound was healed and was not allowed to teach it openly and was shut out as he was not the head but someone else of men was. A T Jones was not popular and he had it right. Lysimachus, I stand with AD 33 as Jesus did die I find about the last hr of the last day of that year AD 30 and so the prophecy did not fail. The next day or so was a new month and a new year. I will not back off. Thanks. Two passovers two days apart were kept is the reason for the discrepancy . The prophecy goes on to be proved out as AD 34 was a Jubilee yr, another New Beginning, the Gospel went to the Gentiles. AD 33 was the last yr of the Jubilee cycle. It is all on the Jubilee calendar is how it is reckoned. All the yr for a day prophecies are on the Jubilee calendar the only yr for day calendar there is and was in effect starting yr one with Adam on earth, a Jubilee yr, a new beginning. 457 a Jubilee and 1'st yr of the next cycle. 457 is counted 1 on your count down and finally when the 1 is counted you have 457. Prove it by counting back from 1 through 457. 10 through 1 is 10 same as 1 through 10 is 10. We each are entitled to the freedom of what we find to be the truth. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. But you are repeating the same things you said before, and it was the above that I specifically showed you where your calculations were off. It was at that point that you fled the argument. It's not a matter of being "entitled" to freedom to believe what we want. Of course we are. The important thing is, are we humble enough to come into unity, and all "speak the same thing", letting the chips where they fall? If you're preaching the 70 weeks prophecy and so am I, and we're working as brothers together, and each of us are rattling off different dates, would this not cause confusion in the ranks and injure our testimony? It sure would. This does not help our cause. It only hinders it. I already showed you how the 70 weeks were based on the Sabbatical cycles, not the Jubilee. Quote ~Lysimachus (Marcos S.) Gibs Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 This is Miz3's Thread, what is the "daily"? 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
miz3 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Lysimachus is welcome to join the discussion and tell us about the "daily" and the about the resulting "abomination". Quote
12tribes Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 "Daily" occurs no fewer than 102 times in the Old Testament and almost invariably has reference to the "daily" or "continual" sacrifices in the temple service. The expression is used in order to distinguish the regular services of the sanctuary from those which were offered once a year at the time of the special feasts. "Now is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar"; Aaron was told, "two lambs of the first year day by day, continually." Exod.29: 38. (See also Numbers 28: 3; 1 Chronicles 16:39, 40 the New Testament, the writer of the epistle to the Hebrews draws attention to the fact that the priests of the ancient sanctuary needed to offer sacrifices "daily."Heb.7:27. The "daily" or "continual" offerings symbolized the unbroken covenant relation between God and His people. If any break occurred in the continuity of the daily offerings as a result of man's defection it would indicate apostasy from God; while if such a break were permitted by God in His providence, it would indicate His suspension of the covenant relationship by reason of their transgression. The Hebrew word translated here as "the daily" is Ha-tamid and occurs in the following Scriptures translates! by the words-"continual," and "daily". Num.4:7 "the continual (ha-tamid) bread." Num. 4:16 "the daily meat offering." Neh. 10:33 "the continual meat offering." Num. 28:10 "the continual burnt offering." Num. 28:15 "the continual burnt offering." Lev.6:20 "a meat offering perpetual." In Numbers 28 and 29 alone, the word is used seventeen times, referring to the continual service in the sanctuary." Hebrews 7:27 (27) Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. Hebrews 10:11 (11) And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: Quote Galatians 3:29(29) And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
ClubV12 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Perhaps your not familiar with William Millers work on the 2,300 year prophecy? If you were you would understand how the daily is tied to the 1290 and 1260. My view is the same as the pioneers view. Both events started when the 1290 year period began and were confirmed when the 1260 year period began. There is no deep mystery here, never has been. It is pointless to discuss (more like "argue") this with either miz3 or Gibs. Likewise, Sister White found it pointless to discuss it "again" with the brethren when the issue had been settled already, by William Miller. Quote

12tribes Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Does the daily that is referenced in Dan. 8 & 11 point to the earthly sanctuary service or the heavenly? And if you say the heavenly - How would the little horn/king of the north (an earthly power) remove something that is taking place in heaven? It is the heavenly and I do not believe the little horn is the king of the north Revelation 13:6 (6) And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. Daniel 8:11-12 (11) Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. (12) And an host was given him against the daily by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. Gibs Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 538 + 1260 = 1798 a valid yr, 1798 then + 30 = 1828 to make the end of 1290 and to end of 1335 would come to 1873. I can connect nothing to the yr. 1828 or 1873. If we find the 1290 and 1335 came to fruitition historically we need some kind of doccumentation to show it at least to a degree. Do you have more to share? 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
ClubV12 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The 1290 started on 508, the 1260 on 538. These are well known William Miller established dates, later confirmed as accurate by the Lords messenger, Ellen White. Quote

It is Satan who will claim he is Christ. Who is the little-horn power? Is it Satan? No. The little-horn is the papal power through whom Satan works to attack Christ and His followers and to obscure the gospel and Christ's High Priestly Ministry in the heavenly sanctuary. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. SDAs don't believe the prophetic time periods are related to those years. 12tribes gave the right dates: 508 + 1290=1798 508 + 1335=1843 We might also add: 538+ 1260=1798 Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Moderators John317 Posted January 14, 2012 Moderators Posted January 14, 2012 ...This is good post and I like what you have said but I have 2 questions: Does the daily that is referenced in Dan. 8 & 11 point to the earthly sanctuary service or the heavenly? And if you say the heavenly - How would the little horn/king of the north (an earthly power) remove something that is taking place in heaven? Great questions, cheddar. I believe the evidence shows that Daniel 8 and 11 refer to the heavenly sanctuary. For one thing, there was no earthly sanctuary after 70 AD, and there's no question that the vision of Daniel 8 reaches far beyond 70 AD. (See Daniel 8: 17, 19) Secondly, the book of Hebrews tells us that the heavenly sanctuary needs purifying, or cleansing. Hebrews 9:23 Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. As to your second question, the little-horn power attacks the heavenly sanctuary by obscuring the work of Christ there. As Daniel 8: 12 says, the little-horn throws the truth to the ground, which he does by inventing many false doctrines, such as the human priesthood and the intercession of dead "saints." Daniel 8:12 .... it [the little-horn] will throw truth to the ground, and it will act and prosper. God's response to the dastardly, evil work of the little-horn is the world-wide proclamation of the Three Angels' Messages of Rev. 14: 6-12 and the raising up of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our work as a church is to restore the full truth of the gospel of Jesus and prepare a people for the return of Christ. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

I think it’s Satan too. He’s the only one who could ever unite the whole world under one banner with his lying wonders. At no point in history has the whole world ever worshipped the papacy. The muslim and asian countries alone have never acknowledged the pope or the papacy and they make up half the world’s population. The daily that is taken away and the abomination of desolation are a central theme that runs throughout Daniel. Adventists have three or four different versions of the AOD which is nonsense. Jesus actually references Daniel and this event with a specific point in time so there are not multiple versions. And besides that Dan. 12 links the AOD with the 1290 days. If there are multiple versions how would we know which one to link the time period too? There’s only one daily being taken away and one AOD and neither one has happened yet. Daniel and Revelation were written for the people of the last days not the middle ages. Quote
Gibs Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 You all run with that as I don't see it that way and the little horn of Dan 7 is not the same as the one in DAn. 8. I am not going to discuss this with you as I am not a historist and you would fight me to the death so we will see who is right before very long now as it is soon to play out. Just give Miz3 your answer to her question, I gave her mine and care not to discuss mine. ClubV12 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 What difference would it make Miz3, book, chapter and verse? It is clear you reject the entire concept of the 2,300 year prophecy and would argue a day does not equal a year. If you don't accept that fundamental view of prophecy, there is no book, chapter or verse that would you would accept. The 1260, the 1290 and the 1335 are irrelvant to those who reject the day/year concept as put forth by William Miller. The daily, and the abomination, in 508 as the starting date, done. Quote
