At this time I do not know what the image will be like. But Yes, God is the one who give Satan the power to make it come alive. Hey, read it for yourself! It's not hard to read, is it?

In the story of Cain and Able, who was the legalist? The one who trusted God enough to obey or the one who worshiped in his own way?

The Sabbath is both a symbol that I take the whole Bible seriously and it is the symbol that I worship God as the creator and my stand to the world that I worship the creator God.

Kenin, could you please show us where God "commanded" a "sacrifice" to Cain and Able?

Every version of the bible I have say what Able and Cain did was an "offerinng". Able was a rancher and therefore simply offered an animal as a first fruit. It had nothing to do with any so called "sacrifice" or blood of an animal. What made it acceptable was that it was a first fruit and it was without blemish.

If Cain had offered the first fruits of plants that were also the best of the take, then would not have God accepted this offering?

First, let's say that you are right and that the evidence I wil post in a moment is wrong; that it was not a verbal command but the willingness to give their best that you see Able as doing and Cain not doing. Well, it is still that the sacrifice does not save but one trusted God with his best.

However scholars and linquists have pointed out that the Levitical laws are implied here and that Jesus made a reference to this.

In the Levitical sacrificial system Cain's offering is the thank offering, which is to be given along with the sin offering, not alone. Able's offering said "Lord, have mercy upon me a sinner." the Parable of the Pharicee and Publican is Jesus retelling of the story of Cain and Able. The Jews were familiar with the Levital system and knew it applied to the story of Cain and Able, but Jesus took it a step farther pointing out that some Pharicees enter prayer with the same spirit as Cain for worship, and that there are sinners with the spirit of Able's sacrifice.

Hmmm? One of my pet peeves is that people assume or presume things that are just not true or proven from the actual account! People assume one must pay income tax ONLY because they assume or presume that is the truth-all the while not giving a hoot for the real truth!

People assume the government in the United States is above the people, but that is a lie as the people are the master and the government is their servant.

People assume a Federal Reserve Note has intrensic value, but the truth is that it's just a piece of paper called a "Legal Tender" meaning "a fictional offer to pay and NEVER the payment itself!

I am sick and tired of people assuming or presuming that the whole bible IS the word of God--because there is NO way that they can prove this! Don't they know that by saying this AND IF anything in it is not the words of God, that they just called God and the Holy Spirit a liar--that being blasphemy?

So please my friend, stick to the actual words as assuming and presuming will get you into hot water!

Kevin, there is a difference between an offering and a sacrifice. Who was it that truthfully killed Jesus as a sacrifice for the penalty for the sin of Adam? Was it God the Father? Who else could it have been? And no, Jesus never died of a broken heart either. Never did the Passover lamb climb up on the table and die of a broken heart! Get my point?

That's my point-people have assumed false belief because of what has been taught so they now have know idea what the real truth is. Since you agree you don't know, then I would ask "Why not?" The truth can be found in the words of Jesus, so why do people want to believe a lie about this?

What Abraham was to do to his son Isaac was a picture of what God the Father was going to do to Jesus. Jesus accepted this as He took the place of Adam who would have been killed the second death. So yes, the Father killed His own Son but since the grave could not keep anyone who was not guilty of sin, the grave had to give up Jesus.

What Paul wrote about Jesus being born the way of flesh from the decendants of David and then being declared the Son of God at His Resurection, is also false, as Jesus was before David as Michael and was placed into Mary without any DNA provided by Joseph or Mary. Mary gave birth, but as a surigate (like a test tube baby). God said that Jesus was the Son of God from the beginning--NOT because of the resurection.

The songs about Jesus died of a broken heart are blasphemy as is the false and mistaken idea that Jesus' death did away with sin. Yes, that willl happen, but not until Jesus comes back in the clouds.

I still don't see your point!!!!! You have not explained anything with all your rambling. You go from one thing to something entirely different. I study and read the same Bible you do and don't see it the same at all. Paul doesn't come close to saying the words your putting into his mouth. Sorry your gonna have to do much better than that.

"Why do You speak to them in parables? (Matt. 13:11 and 13)

...and you will never be able to see my point it appears! Oh well....

Look, your mind is made up and will not allow you to understand. That is what Jesus was saying about those who thought they could see but were blind, and Jesus also said that He came here to give sight to those who did not see, not to those who thought they could see (and hear)

Have you counted all of the places in the book of revelation that says "if anyone has an ear, let him hear?" Why? If you don't know, don't blame me!

Good works will be rewarded but in and of themselves they have no merit toward our salvation. All who are saved will be only through the all-sufficient merits of Jesus Christ. And nobody keeps the commandments including the Sabbath because they are saved for "no sanctified tongue will be found uttering these words till Christ shall come, and we enter in through the gates into the City." 1 S.M.314.

Obedience is the fruit of faith in the merits of Christ for as the sinner appropriates the merits of Christ to himself by claiming them on a daily basis he receives Christ and His righteousness accomplishes everything. But one who is being saved never says, "I am saved" but cherishes faith and hope.

I am saved and don't mind saying so. Our prophet spoke clearly about the assurance of salvation and I've accepted it. Praise God for His love towards us - who are sinners.

Yes, Woody, I find we should know we are saved, if not that would prove we do not have faith. It is nothing we can bragg of and we could lose that eternal life anytime by backsliding. We must finish the course in full faith and abiding in Him and His Love in us.

There is no doubt that the saved have eternal life now but are appointed to die once. That death is termed "sleep" by Jesus Christ".

Our obedience is the fruit of our Love of Him and True faith in His merits in us that He imparts to all who have come and fully repented.

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

I see no problem with bragging about the Love of Jesus that He freely offers to all. If only recognized the Truth about the Blood of Jesus. For it truly saves all who accept it.

Hey, make fun of me and call me names all you want--isn't that the christian thing to do around here? If you have a problem, come on out with it! Or would you rather just make fun?
