Patrick Lawrence Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 OK got the formating good enough sorry about the problems. Hey all I thought I would post some about the timeline that got us to the modern Illuminati realted conspiracy theories. The hope is to make this more orderly than the other semirelated threads. For just ease of use I mostly will just be giving you references to Wikipedia. Many related history books are not free and very expensive. And many of the academic papers you have to pay to be able to read online. If you are wondering they are a real but short lived group started in 1776. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illuminati The founder of the Illumanati was Adam Weishaupt and it is interesting to read about his ideas such as deism and republicanism and other modern ideas. http://knarf.english.upenn.edu/People/weishaup.html Augustin Barruel was the main person to come up with the idea of the Illumninati controlling the world. Here are some key quick facts about him. He was a Jesuit priest from France. His theories are in relation to the French Revolution. And his theories claim a plot against the Catholic Church and the Kings of the time. He was not lover of democracy and freedom. His methods and ideas (changed to fit Adventist conspiracy theorists etc) are the a key to understanding were we get our modern conspiracy theories. Any way this is the first part of the time line. And a part that is very interesting since the conspiracy theories are against the Catholic Church and the Kings etc. Next a note on his world. The world he lived in was in the middle of drastic changes and upheaval. It is the world of the French and American revolutions and start of the modern world. It was also a time of strong racist and anti-Jewish ideas. And a time where all kinds of conspiracy theories etc were believed by all levels of society. Times like this when peoples worlds were torn apart and changed foster conspiracy theories of all kinds. You can see the same thing later on at the end of the 19th century when we get to it. Augustin Barruel (October 2, 1741 – October 5, 1820) was a French Jesuit priest. He is now mostly known for setting forth the conspiracy theory involving the Bavarian Illuminati, Freemasons and the Jacobins in his book Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism (original title Mémoires pour servir à l'Histoire du Jacobinisme) published in 1797. In short, Barruel wrote that the French Revolution was planned and executed by the secret societies. His basic idea was that of a conspiracy with the aim of overthrowing Christianity--or more to the point, any and all forms of political and social organization based on conformity to the moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. It inspired John Robison, who had been working independently on his own conspiracy theory to extend his book Proofs of a Conspiracy Against all the Religions and Governments of Europe and include several quotations from Barruel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustin_Barruel More on his book Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism and its very important role in conspiracy theories. In the book, Barruel claims that the French Revolution was the result of a deliberate conspiracy or plot to overthrow the throne, altar and aristocratic society in Europe. The plot was allegedly hatched by a coalition of philosophes, Freemasons, and the Order of the Illuminati. The conspirators created a system that was inherited by the Jacobins who operated it to its greatest potential. The Memoirs purports to expose the Revolution as the culmination of a long history of subversion. Barruel was not the first to make these charges but he was the first to present them in a fully developed historical context and his evidence was on a quite unprecedented scale. Barruel wrote each of the first three volumes of the book as separate discussions of those who contributed to the conspiracy. The fourth volume is an attempt to unite them all in a description of the Jacobins in the French Revolution. Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism is representative of the criticism of the Enlightenment that spread throughout Europe during the Revolutionary period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memoirs_Illustrating_the_History_of_Jacobinism Barruel's techniques of argumentation As the champion of Christianity and the political status quo, Barruel downplayed his own Catholicism and presented himself as a neutral party within the radicalized debate surrounding the Revolution. His tactic was to cite document after document with a commentary that effectively showed it was the truth. The reader of the Memoirs could have been any individual who doubted some of Barruel's inferences, but who would eventually be overwhelmed by the sheer weight of evidence against the Enlightenment. His fanatical hatred for revolutionary and enlightenment ideas is hidden behind a seemingly neutral and objective manner. By isolating single passages and quoting them out of context, Barruel presented what seemed to be a convincing case.[46] He made up for quality with quantity and persuaded a number of contemporaries to adopt his view. The Memoirs is constructed according to reason and Barruel attempts to use the Enlightenment's own tool to bring about its demise. While he did not include the Jews in his book he did later point to them. "Conceptual influence" French revolution: before and after: satirical drawing by French draftsman Caran d'Ache, 1898, in the middle of the Affaire Dreyfus and the foundation of Action Française. Although the Ancien Régime is not shown as idyllic, the contemporary situation is shown as an increase of oppression, which technical improvements (notice the ploughshare) don't lighten, and to which financial capitalism (the banker with his top hat and his wallet), the francmason (with his set square and plumb line) and the Jew (with a curved nose) are contributors.[4] According to Dr. Danny Keren (a member of the Department of Computer Science at Haifa University), the "conceptual inspiration" of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion was the 1797 treatise, Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism by the French priest Augustin Barruel, which claimed the Revolution was a Masonic led conspiracy with the aim of overthrowing the moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. According to Keren, "in his treatise, Barruel did not himself blame the Jews, who were emancipated as a result of the Revolution. However, in 1806, Barruel circulated a forged letter, probably sent to him by members of the state police opposed to Napoleon Bonaparte's liberal policy toward the Jews, calling attention to the alleged part of the Jews in the conspiracy he had earlier attributed to the Masons. This myth of an international Jewish conspiracy reappeared later on in 19th century Europe in places such as Germany and Poland."[5] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judeo-Masonic_conspiracy_theory Quote http://UROBI.com/
Patrick Lawrence Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Part 2 John Robison Some key notes on Robinson. Robinson like Burruel was an ardent monarchist. He was against them because like Burruel he did not like their deism and republicanism and early feminism (this is before women could vote etc.) beliefs. John Robison FRSE (4 February 1739 – 30 January 1805) was a Scottish physicist and mathematician. He was a professor of philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. Towards the end of his life, he became an enthusiastic conspiracy theorist, publishing Proofs of a Conspiracy ... in 1797, alleging clandestine intrigue by the Illuminati and Freemasons (the work's full title was Proofs of a Conspiracy against all the Religions and Governments of Europe, carried on in the secret meetings of Freemasons, Illuminati and Reading Societies). Robison and French priest Abbé Barruel independently developed similar views that the Illuminati had infiltrated Continental Freemasonry, leading to the excesses of the French Revolution. In 1798, the Reverend G. W. Snyder sent Robison's book to George Washington for his thoughts on the subject in which he replied to him in his Letter to the Reverend G. W. Snyder (24 October 1798) Quote http://UROBI.com/
Patrick Lawrence Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Part 3 Joseph Marie Eugène Sue (20 January 1804 – 3 August 1857) was a French novelist. Next lets look at Eugène Sue. Sue wrote many books but one that is important to this story is Les Mysteres de Paris . This popular novel turns around the conspiracies and makes them run by the Jesuits . This fits with Sue's pro socalist and anti-Catholic ideas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_Sue Part 4. Maurice Joly (1829—1878) was a French satirist and lawyer known for his work titled The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu,. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurice_Joly Maurice Joly also wrote something important to us. He wrote The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu. And this related back to Sue since he plagarized him from the book we just mention. But Joly was a Catholic and monarchist so his book is about the evils of Napoleon III. It is in the form of a satire set as an argument in hell. When it came out he was sent to prison fro attacking the Napoleonic regime. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dialogue_in_Hell_Between_Machiavelli_and_Montesquieu Part 5. Sir John Retcliffe was the pseudonym of the German writer Herrmann Ottomar Friedrich Goedsche (12 February 1815 – 8 November 1878) primarily remembered for his antisemitism and the extent to which his fiction indirectly contributed to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_John_Retcliffe So now we have Goedsche with his very strong antisemetism who plagarizes Joly's book and adds a chapter about the evil Jewish plotters. In his 1868 book Biarritz, Goedsche plagiarized a book by the French satirist Maurice Joly, The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu, and made an addition: the chapter "At the Jewish Cemetery in Prague" described a secret rabbinical cabal, Council of Representatives of The Twelve Tribes of Israel which meets in the cemetery at midnight for one of their annual meetings. They report on the progress of their long-term conspiracy to establish world domination. Among the methods to achieve this goal are the acquisition of landed property, the transformation of craftsmen in industrial workers, the infiltration into high public offices, the control of the press, etc. The chairman Levit expresses at the end of the meeting the desire to be the kings of the world in 100 years. This fictional "Rabbi's Speech" was frequently quoted later as an authentic episode and invoked as a proof of the authenticity of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. In Nazi Germany the chapter was re-printed independently in many editions.[2] To portray the meeting, Goedsche borrowed heavily from the scene in the novel Joseph Balsamo by Alexandre Dumas, père in which Alessandro Cagliostro and company plot the affair of the diamond necklace, and likewise borrowed Joly's Dialogues as the outcome of the meeting. After Goedsche's death, an extract from the chapter containing his fictional "secret cabal" circulated in the Russian Empire. In the 1890s, Goedsche's version was in turn plagiarized by Matvei Golovinski and adapted into what came to be known as The Protocols of the Elders of Zion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_John_Retcliffe Quote http://UROBI.com/
Patrick Lawrence Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Part 6. Next we get to the very imporantant The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. This fraudulent works is a key to the modern illuminati, new world order, Jewish banker conspiracies. And almost half of it is plagarized from Maurice Joly's anti Napoleon III work and Goedsche's Jewish addon to that work. So to get to this important conspiracy document you have a twisted path full of frauds, plagarizing and second rate research etc. And the bad guys go from athiest pro republicans to Jews to Jesuits and back to Jews. Now more about The Protocols of the Elders of Zion since it is key to how we get to modern theories. And is is taught today in Saudi school books and was made into a mini series on Egyption TV. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is a fraudulent, antisemitic text purporting to describe a Jewish plan for achieving global domination. It was first published in Russia in 1903, translated into multiple languages, and disseminated internationally in the early part of the 20th century. Henry Ford funded printing of 500,000 copies which were distributed throughout the United States in the 1920s. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were major proponents of the text: It was studied, as if factual, in German classrooms after the Nazi Party came to power in 1933, despite having been exposed as fraudulent years before. In the opinion of historian Norman Cohn, the Protocols was Hitler's primary justification for initiating the Holocaust — his "warrant for genocide."[1] The Protocols purports to document the minutes of a late 19th-century meeting of Jewish leaders discussing their goal of global Jewish hegemony by subverting the morals of Gentiles, and by controlling the press and the world's economies. It is still widely available today, still presented, typically, as a genuine document, on the Internet and in print, in numerous languages. Creation The Protocols is a fabricated document purporting to be factual. It was originally produced in Russia between 1897 and 1903, possibly by Pyotr Ivanovich Rachkovsky, head of the Paris office of the Russian Secret Police, and unknown others.[2][3] Source material for the forgery consisted of an 1864 novel by the French political satirist Maurice Joly entitled Dialogue aux enfers entre Machiavel et Montesquieu or Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu,[4] and a chapter from an 1868 book of fiction entitled Biarritz by the antisemitic German novelist Hermann Goedsche, which had been translated into Russian in 1872.[5] Literary forgery The forgery contains numerous elements typical of what is known in literature as a "false document": a document that is deliberately written to fool the reader into believing that what is written is truthful and accurate even though, in actuality, it is not.[6] It is also one of the best-known and most-discussed examples of literary forgery, with analysis and proof of its fraudulent origin going as far back as 1921.[7] The forgery is also an early example of "conspiracy theory" literature.[8] Written mainly in the first person plural,[9] the text embodies generalizations, truisms and platitudes on how to take over the world: take control of the media and the financial institutions, change the traditional social order, etc. It does not contain specifics. You can read much more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protocols_of_the_Elders_of_Zion Quote http://UROBI.com/
Patrick Lawrence Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Part 7. Next we have the anti-Jewish, occustist and fascist Nesta Helen Webster. Nesta Helen Webster (Mrs. Arthur Webster), (24 August 1876 – 16 May 1960) was a controversial historian,[1] occultist,[2] and author who revived conspiracy theories about the Illuminati.[3][4] She argued that the secret society's members were occultists, plotting communist world domination,[4] using the idea of a Jewish cabal, the Masons and Jesuits[5] as a smokescreen.[4] According to her, their international subversion included the French Revolution, 1848 Revolution, the First World War, the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.[6] In 1920, Webster was one of the contributing authors who wrote The Jewish Peril, a series of articles in the London Morning Post, centered on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. These articles were subsequently compiled and published in the same year, in book form under the title of The Cause of World Unrest. Webster claimed that the authenticity of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion was an open question. Her position on that, in 1924, "Contrary to the assertions of certain writers, I never affirmed my belief in the authenticity of the Protocols, but have always treated it as an entirely open question." (See Secret Societies and Subversive Movements (1924), p. 408). In "World Revolution", Webster compares the Protocols to writings attributed to the Illuminati, asserting that they hold most similarity to the activities of Illuminized Freemasonry. (See World Revolution' p. 306) At one time she was a member of the British Union of Fascists.[3] Fascination with the French Revolution Returning to England she began her historical studies and literary career with a critical re-assessment of the French Revolution, especially exploring the theory of the monarchy's subversion by a Judeo-Masonic conspiracy. For more than three years she immersed herself in historical research, primarily in the archives of the British Museum and Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris. Her first serious book on this subject was The Chevalier de Boufflers, which drew a lengthy review in The Spectator.[citation needed] While doing research for the book, she experienced deja vu which led her to believe she may have been reincarnated.[9] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nesta_Helen_Webster You can see how she took the ideas we have shown and twisted them around so now it is an occult conspiracy. This is pretty interesting since we started out with an athiest conspiracy. Quote http://UROBI.com/
Patrick Lawrence Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Part 8. Next up is William Guy Carr (June 2, 1895 - October 2, 1959) who was a contemporary of Nesta. He was also influenced by the The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. And he based his claims mainly on a fake letter by Albert Pike. Pike never made the predictions about the wars. You can read a detailed account about how going back to search for primary documents will lead to the original hoax. http://www.conspiracyarchive.com/Articles/Pike-Mazzini_Three-World-Wars.htm And you can go here to read more about the hoax. And how it was admitted in public by the person who did it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxil_hoax Any way from Carr we get the idea of the Three World Wars and the conspiracy of the Synagogue of Satan. You can read much more about him and his ideas here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Guy_Carr Quote http://UROBI.com/
Patrick Lawrence Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Part 9. Now we get to all the modern conspiracy theorists like Walter Veith and the countless others in the Adventist church and the world. If you noticed they will quote people like Nesta and these other unreliable sources. Yet they never go into the details of how history of these ideas. Or the long trail of forgery, plagarizism, racism, fascism, and antisemetism etc. They just pick and choose bits here and there to craft a conspiracy that is fitted to Adventists. This relates back to start and the Jesuit Augustin Barruel who did the same for his Catholic audience. I find it rather ironic our timeline goes back to a Jesuit making up conspriacy theories for Catholics and Monarchists. So these Adventist conspircy theorists have co-opt these ideas from this Jesuit and made them our own. Very interesting to say the least. I have to wonder how many Adventists know this history. Also this makes my belief in Ellen White even stronger. As you can see all of this was around in her time. And besides the warnings not to join societies like unions and masons she really tends to stay out of the conspiracy theory area. Except of course for the great conflict between Christ and Satan. This is the last part unless I decide to add some related information. Possibly some of the history of antisemetism and how it relates like I talked about in the other thread. Quote http://UROBI.com/

Moderators Kevin H Posted February 1, 2012 Moderators Posted February 1, 2012 There is enough happening right out in the open with the counsel of foreigen affairs and the Federal Reserve and the world banking system that is eye opening enough without worrying if they are a part of one of these conspiricy theories, or even if the consperies even exist. Maybe they do, maybe they don't but let's not let these theories so color our vision as the real events are hiding in plain sight. Quote

Dr. Rich Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Patrick, I enjoyed what you wrote here but as a professional investigator, I have found many things in Wikipedia to be false and there is a lot of intentional disinformation to fool or deceive people too. 1. Yes, Satan is the master of confusion and disinformation. 2. Yes, the conspiracy regarding Free Masons is much deeper and larger than you would ever want to believe. 3. Not everything known by the public is the truth. Take for example the crusaders and the Knights Templors--what people have believed and made public is far from the real truth. Few of 'us' know the real truth regarding the 'why' and 'what' it was that caused 'them' to do what they did. Here is a clue--trace Solomon's treasure passed down to Hezekiah that was stolen (2Kings 20:12-17). Movies have been made of opinions, but there is the real truth and when it does come out (if it does) it will make the most awesome book and movie every produced! 4. Yes, the world is now controlled by Satan's rulers who think they are still God's kingdom--(if you can take the hint). 5. Yes, Satan knows his time is about up and now wants as many as he can get to join him. 6. Yes, many of those who pull the strings honestly believe they are following God, when in fact their god is Satan. Quote
Dr. Rich Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Oh, and yes, I have had many 'visit' me from 'high' places to pick my brain for understanding on this issue. (Why, I can't say right now). A few writers and movie producers have spent time with me, but when they 'see' the truth and find that it is verified by held evidence, it scares the heck out of them and all of them so far have backed out. Perhaps the time will come when someone will make known the real players and what it is they are playing for. Why this has happend to me--I have NO IDEA! I am just a nobody! Quote

I tend to like proof on about claims 4. The world is like it always has been. It is controlled by many people with many agendas. She didn't use the fancy terms, but we have our duty defined to be studious. Ellen White's job was not to zero in on various intricate issues, but rather to look at the "overall, broad picture" of the great controversy between Christ and Satan. She also mentioned on how we are to have no part in "Secret Societies", because these agencies were being used of Satan. Cannot the "Illuminati" be incorporated in this term she used? "Secret Societies"? Does it not encompass it? Concerning the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, you need to listen to D.S. Farris' materials--his audios. He goes way beyond Walter Veith. There is no doubt a conspiracy to place the eye of Lucifer on top of the pyramid, for world domination. In fact, it was the JESUITS who were indirectly responsible for creating the Straw-man-State-of-Israel. This was in Albert Pike's blueprint for the 3-world-wars in the late 19th century BEFORE 1948. The entire Dispensationalist ideology is an ideology designed to fuel this New World Order agenda. If you don't believe there is any truth to this, then just look at your dollar bill. You can't see the pyramid on your dollar bill? The eye of Lucifer? You can't see that it is obviously connected with the Illuminati and Free Masonry? It's so obvious Patrick! Moderators Kevin H Posted February 3, 2012 Moderators Posted February 3, 2012 Once again there is enough in the open that we don't need the conspiracy theories. They seem to be a mixure of fact and speculation, enough fact to catch the eye, but enough speculation to loose credibility and to misdirect so that the events that are happening can hide in plain sight. If you are finding these useful, at least your eye is opening that things are happening. Just first be careful, very careful, and second, don't let these theories keep you away from Bible study.
