Robert Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 COLUMBUS, Ohio (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum challenged President Barack Obama's Christian beliefs on Saturday, saying White House policies were motivated by a "different theology." A devout Roman Catholic who has risen to the top of Republican polls in recent days, Santorum said the Obama administration had failed to prevent gas prices rising and was using "political science" in the debate about climate change. Obama's agenda is "not about you. It's not about your quality of life. It's not about your jobs. It's about some phony ideal. Some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible. A different theology," Santorum told supporters of the conservative Tea Party movement at a Columbus hotel. When asked about the statement at a news conference later, Santorum said, "If the president says he's a Christian, he's a Christian." Quote

Moderators lazarus Posted February 19, 2012 Moderators Posted February 19, 2012 'Some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible. A different theology," Quite amusing coming from a Roman Catholic, transubstantiation and all that. Wonder if he would lay the same charge against Romney. Probably not. Members phkrause Posted February 19, 2012 Members Posted February 19, 2012 Speak out about what? Separation of Church and State?? Oh it can't be that, because that's exactly what Santorum doesn't want, is a separation of C&S. Its really amazing how when a democrat is a catholic we make sure that no one should vote for him! Yet when we have a number of republicans who claim to be Catholic, its OK. For me, I don't care what there religion is, that's the last thing I look for. Religion should not be an issue. Woody Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Obama is a Muslim. Do you want a Muslim in office? If you are of the persuasion that Obama is not a Muslim - then you have to look at his pastor and mentor. And that is not much better. I would much prefer having a Christian such as Santorum who lives their faith. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Isn't that bearing false witness against your brother? Jesus says that you can know a brother by his fruits, not his pastors, not his wifes, but by him...And I know many a non-christian man whose better at being a Christian than many christians.... Woody Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I'll dwell on the negatives and you can dwell on the positives then. But in the end - Santorum will be the next POTUS Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 if you don't mitagate your view, you may find yourself stroked out at Obama's re-election. Then your gone for a few days sulking....Dang it, we don't need you in a fowl mood because the electon didn't go the way you wanted... Cus then we have to listen to your pissing fit over the fact that you didn't vote for him....or his policies... Moderators Bravus Posted February 20, 2012 Moderators Posted February 20, 2012 Deuteronomy 5:20 Quote Truth is important
Woody Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Obama has been sending our boys to their deaths and there are actually Christians here who support him. Amazing. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Really??!! the fact that your buddy Bush started these wars, and Obama is getting them home...and you're throwing a fit over the fact that he's "killing our boys"...... Well, all I can say is to repeat what Bravus said... Deuteronomy 5:20 go lookit up... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Ummmm. He more than doubled the killings. He made it HIS war and increased the troups instead of decreasing them. So, yes I hold him totally responsible. May you take a look at Deuteronomy 5:20 and apply it to yourself. My response here is just to prove the duplicity of you Demos. When Bush was in office he was called a liar and a murderer - not one of you Demos spoke up against that. At that time I determined that I would provide an equal force in presenting Truth. And that is what I have done. I have exposed the duplicity of the Demos here on this forum. I've not called Obama a murderer. But I have indicated that HE alone is responsible for the death of our boys. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

There isn't any law that says a president has to be a "christian". Santorum was off base or misspoke in what he was trying to say. OTOH it is a little foolish for those that embrace socialism,or a certain amount to deny Obama's obvious bent in that direction. The constitution prevents him from enforcing what he would like to as he said.Keep him in long enough and that will change. From earliest childhood, his mentors, associates in all walks of life have been communist, socialists, marxist or worse, terrorists. You can have acquaintances that do not reflect your beliefs but when surrounded by them as a child and you willingly keep surrounding yourself with them as an adult it is pretty tough to deny. His czars represent a good cross section of "unchristian" ideology. His 'christian" beliefs do not follow the general path of what most call christian. He believes in "collective salvation" whatever that is.He believes the government should be "his brother's keeper".It does not have much personal application for him .That cannot be denied in the disregard for his own biological family and his own personal giving. What a person gives to others freely is their God given choice, but when you give so little don't preach to others.Don't claim it is the "christian giving of government' that is what God meant. That is not biblical. Obama is very uncomfortable discussing his personal religious convictions or religious convictions of any kind, until he is praising the Islam faith. Then he is very comfortable and articulate and does not stumble as he does with "christian beliefs" I doubt if he is a full fledged muslim, not sure if he even has a firm belief in any direction except at best socialism. That isn't illegal either but he knows it would cost him the election.Just as throwing a man that was his spiritual mentor, closer than an uncle overboard when he knew it would stand in his way. His denial that he did not know Wright's belief is simply a lie.How can you have a spiritual mentor, someone as close as a uncle and not know what it is he is advising you of spiritually? Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman

So, yes I hold him totally responsible. I suppose that by lying to the american people to start a war is not as troublesome as to fight so hard so as to get us out of that war... I worry about you, Redwood...You have a skewed sense of right in the political arena...and yeah, I suppose, from your perspective, I do too...
