Moderators Kevin H Posted March 5, 2012 Moderators Posted March 5, 2012 While things may not work out the way we imagine it to work out, it at least makes us to be aware of the direction to look for the things that are coming. Today I found on facebook a post from a former professor of mine, John MacCall, which I found very eye opening in how I understand Daniel 2 and Revelation 13. I have also included some interesting comments on this thread: NOTE: Despite the beliefs of some fundamentalist sects, the Vatican will not rule the world. However, the Pope remains a staunch globalist, a key figure in the Bilderberger Group. In this document the Vatican makes a powerful call for a world government "for the common good" as expected. The document also ascribes the Gift of Prophecy to recent popes in discussing this subject. Full Text: Note on financial reform from the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace www.news.va The point: the papacy is a key element in the developing world-state of globalism. The papacy intends to be at the very center of the "driving force" of the developing world-state, clearly on the side of the American Empire as against the Chinese axis. This is the Pope's encyclical calling for the creation of a World Govt, tracing step by step how that can be accomplished, and on what basis. The basis -- a restructuring of the political and financial system as a basis for a successful World State, (as we have so often predicted, see Rev 13) would be SPIRITUAL and ETHICAL. In this way, the papacy intends to play a central role in the new world govt, a role we never doubted. I hope you find this useful. Satan has tended to blind us on two sides, one has been to expect the Pope to just become the world emperor, the other is to ignore the role the Papacy played in Protestant theology and history, so one group is sitting around waiting for something more Papal centric to occur, the other either ignoring or supporting this event which is happening. We are seeing prophecy being fulfilled right before our very eyes. Same with the Sunday Law, it probably will not come the way we expect, and thus tend to be ignored by both our conservatives and liberals, but being aware of something from that direction we will be aware of signs of the times. However we have to remember that Sunday Laws was only an application of the true issue; liberty of conscienc threatened. We think that it is ok to join with conservative groups which threaten liberty of conscience as long as it is not specifically Sunday laws, if instead of seeing the Sunday Laws as examples of the bigger issue

teresaq Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I personally and fully believe that these abortion and homosexual issues are the back door into uniting church and state. They have been successful in getting "under God" into the pledge of allegiance, getting "in God we trust" onto our money, trying to make it look like God was taken out of the schools, etc. Since the history of church and state union has been forgotten it is not perceived where all this will lead. A Sunday law would not have been successful in the relatively prosperous times...but now it can and will be soon...given the rationalizing (propaganda, if you will) that has been happening. facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
Members phkrause Posted March 6, 2012 Members Posted March 6, 2012 Excellent post Kevin. Also from many different things that I've read the Pope had more to do with the downfall of communism than the USA likes to say. They have slowly behind the scene's done more to further there agenda than any of us are aware of. phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Moderators Kevin H Posted March 6, 2012 Moderators Posted March 6, 2012 Exactly Teresaq and pkrause, and sorry that you did not understand ruddywoods; I hope I can make it clearer. The Papacy lead a big role in the dark ages and was understood by Protestants to be the antichrist. As Seventh-day Adventists, we have continued with the Reformer's conserns. However in our tradition we have tended to to think that last day events will be a return to a world where the Pope is the ruler of the world. However Revelation's discription of the last head is more of a global economic power rather than religious power. What the article points out is that the Papacy, while not fulfilling the role that our tradition is expecting the Papacy to fill, is playing a key role in the establishment of the type of power that fits the discription of the 7th head in Revelation. Thus Mrs. White's prophecys of the Papacy is being fulfilled, however in a way that we do not expect from our traditons.
