Cheerleaders in Texas

Standards, morals and respect have been layed aside like so much road kill. Parents harping about how it should be taught in the schools. Teachers harping about how it should be taught in the home. And the kids just merrily doing what they please. Lets throw money at the problem. Yeah, that'll fix it. Lets throw laws at the problem. Yeah, that'll fix it. What repairs a problem is parental involvment. But who wants to raise the kids these days? Nobody. Sad.

We are living in the final days and immorality is increasing just as the Bible prodicted it. As a church, we should preach the gospel of Christ which includes His Commandments. Most of us will agree that sex outside of marriage is wrong and we should discourage it by both word and action.

Then there is the issue of civil government. Christ was not a member of a democracy when He was here. Most of us are. In a democracy each of us has a voice in civil affiars. So if "we the people" want to make our fellow citizens cover up their genitals in public we do that through our civil government.

Now comes the issue of civil rights. Most of us will agree that attending most movies rated above PG is sinful. Yet few of us support making such movies illegal. Most of us believe that murder is sinful and most of us believe it should be illegal. So some where between R rated movies and murder we draw a line of the sinful behavior we want to permit in our society and that we don't want to permit.

Teenage sex is a problem that is not getting any better. I am amazed that I have Christian brothers and sisters that want to allow cheerleaders to shout out sexually explict cheers. It seems that some of you are so paranoid of the coming Sunday laws that you will oppose any law that creates any moral standards. I choose not to live in that world of paranoia.

The technology we have now allows just about anyone to have 15 minutes of fame. The principle of self-seeking is everywhere...even in my life. As I have stated before, I have a used two-seater sports car...I bought it used instead of a motorcycle, but my flesh enjoys the attention when I am out on the road. Technically speaking driving that car is not too different then wearing earrings or wearing jewelry (who am I kidding). Self-seeking is self-seeking.

In fact I guarantee that there are things in all of your lives too that are self-seeking....I won't go down that road again, all you have to do is look at Christ's life and compare it to your own...then you'll see how selfish we are. Yes, the believer [while not perfect] should go using sexuality to get noticed. Again the key is Christ....

Allow? I can't stop it! I agree that the school should draw the line, but getting our legislators involved...hmmm, I don't know? These young women can always go to strip bars, etc...funny how those are legal.

I say that if our leaders are going to start with the civil casualties that sexaul immorality causes, they had better get started with the pornographers. I mean first we had Playboy (very limited nudity), but as always it went further....Now you know what we have...everything from kiddy porn to bestiality!

I suggest they start there first....
