Neil D Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Even Newt says that FauxNews is biased. So, Why do you watch a news organization that is 1] a republican mouthpiece 2] sensational news designed to circumvent the thinking process 3] primarily out to uphold republican values and not for the general american people 4] not a real journalistic organization but exhibits sensationalistic news such as belongs on the national enquirer or similar publications. Newt Gingrich: ‘CNN is less biased than Fox’ By Dylan Stableford | The Ticket – Thu, Apr 12, 2012 Gingrich on the trail. (AP/Charlie Neibergall) In what some might consider an act of GOP political suicide, Newt Gingrich slammed Fox News earlier this week, saying that the cable news channel has favored Mitt Romney throughout the 2012 Republican race—and that CNN has been the more "fair-and-balanced" network this cycle. "I think Fox has been for Romney all the way through," Gingrich said during a meeting with tea party leaders in Delaware on Wednesday, according RealClearPolitics.com, which said it was granted access to the private event. "In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than Fox this year. We are more likely to get neutral coverage out of CNN than we are of Fox, and we're more likely to get distortion out of Fox. That's just a fact." The former House Speaker blasted the Roger Ailes-led network, blaming Rupert Murdoch, chairman and CEO of Fox News-owner News Corp., for the bias. "I assume it's because Murdoch at some point said, 'I want Romney,' and so 'fair and balanced' became 'Romney,'" Gingrich said. "And there's no question that Fox had a lot to do with stopping my campaign because such a high percentage of our base watches Fox." "This is nothing other than Newt auditioning for a windfall of a gig at CNN—that's the kind of man he is," a spokeswoman for Fox News responded in a statement to Yahoo News. "Not to mention, he's still bitter about the fact that we terminated his contributor contract." (Gingrich was dropped by Fox last year shortly before he announced his presidential bid.) Gingrich added that he will attend the White House Correspondents' Association dinner later this month—as a guest of CNN. "The only press events I go to are interesting dinners when the wife insists on it, so we're going to go to the White House Correspondents' dinner because she wants to. And we're actually going to go to CNN's table, not Fox." Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw

bonnie Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I would like you to be more Christian in my eyes...yeah, I would...I would even allow you your opinions...but your Chrisitanity is so full of pharisee principles and twisted logic, what good are you? You can't agree with the things that you CAN agree with....I suppose you can't help it...But this isn't about you, in general...it's about conservatives in general. It's about coming to a consensus where we can at least agree upon s o m e t h i n g....except to disagree... Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted April 15, 2012 Administrators Posted April 15, 2012 The tune would change to the opposite if a Democrat controlled Congress kept saying no to a Republican president, forcing him to "fail" and be a one term president, like George HW Bush. Odd similarities there. HW followed after the economics of 8 years of Reaganomics left huge deficits that HW couldn't fix since he refused to increase revenue by raising taxes. And he had a Democrat controlled Congress. But Clinton was able to turn that around even after loosing the Democrat controlled Congress two years into his 8 years. He left office with budget surplus and the economy a great shape. What makes the difference? A willingness to put aside partisanship, working together and compromise for the good of the electorate rather than the elected. Haven't seen that since the Clinton years. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)

bonnie Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Thanks for the link Bravus. This statement is very interesting: In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than Fox this year. Amazing.A man that has been ridiculed and condemned for almost every statement he made has now become "It Is Official,Newt has spoken",confirmed no less by unbiased salon. It has been obvious since the beginning that Romney was to be the choice barring something startling. Some of where Newt finds himself is the doing of Newt. Some of it is because Romney was the favorite from day one. Shocking. The wife of Gingrich has been mocked as a trophy wife and now to be listened to. All cable news has a bias, only one is expected to not have one. Mainstream media is not to have a bias when reporting news or a favorite candidate. Just think of where Newt could be today with titles or headlines, "It's Official,Newt Says" Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make.
