Johnnboy Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 Johnnboy, You need to write a book, or at least get an article published about all of this. And let the Lunar Sabbatarians at www.WorldsLastChance.com have it! Yes, one can always try to work with those who believe the Lunar Sabbatarian belief. But some who follow this are very closed to any change, and by promoting it, some have brain-washed themselves, even though there is no inspired evidence for this theory. Quote
Johnnboy Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Brother Marcos, It would be good to have a book written showing the detailed meaning of the ceremonies or rehearsals, etc. of the old sanctuary system. I have printed out some of my studies on this, but I guess what I would like to see are some charts, maybe you'd call them that, or something similar with over-lays, so that one could actually visualize the different aspects of these rehearsals and all the specifications of each one and their connection to the actual fulfillments. This could be a power-point presentation. It seems that it would be much easier to grasp using something like that. I would very much like to see something like this done and would appreciate any help to see this accomplished. As long as we keep studying these themes, they will continually be expanding and developing. “The truths of redemption are capable of constant development and expansion. Though old, they are ever new, constantly revealing to the seeker for truth a greater glory and a mightier power.” COL 127 “The plan of redemption will not be fully understood, even when the ransomed see as they are seen and know as they are known; but through the eternal ages new truth will continually unfold to the wondering and delighted mind.” GC 651 There is so much meaning in these statements. The old sanctuary system is the truth of redemption in a format that even children could understand. All of it was a “reflection” of the glorious real plan of salvation, similar to the moon reflecting the light of the sun. Moses was given the ability to “see to the end of that which was to be done away.” “The types and shadows of the sacrificial service, with the prophecies, gave the Israelites a veiled, indistinct view of the mercy and grace to be brought to the world by the revelation of Christ. To Moses was unfolded the significance of the types and shadows pointing to Christ. He saw to the end of that which was to be done away when, at the death of Christ, type met antitype.” 1SM 237 When Moses was shown "to the end of that which was to be done away", his face shone with a glory that he had to veil—which demonstrated the fact that the old sanctuary system under Moses was a veiled representation of God's amazing and glorious plan of redemption. “And not as Moses, [which] put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:” 2 Corinthians 3:13 Quote
Johnnboy Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Back to my explanation of the 4 “shadow” Sabbaths of the annual fall feasts in the 7th month of the sanctuary services-- please bear with me as I try to explain the phenomenon brought out in the typical service. I do hope I'm not confusing anyone. I'll try to make it as plain as possible, hopefully I'm not too repetitious. The ritualistic observances of the spring feasts from the Passover to the day of Pentecost were observed identically every year throughout the 50-year cycle, whereas, all of the fall feasts had extra special prophetic ceremonies that were performed only in the Sabbath years, thus indicating that the main fulfillment of the fall feasts must be in a Sabbath year. But only one annual fall feast day, the Day of Atonement, had extra special ceremonies in two special years, two consecutive years, in the Sabbath year and in the year of Jubilee. So, whenever the new moon of the seventh month in the seventh Sabbath year happens to fall on a 7th day Sabbath, the Day of Atonement of the Jubilee year, which is the very next year, then, occurs on a 7th day Sabbath. The Day of Atonement of the Jubilee year is regulated by this new moon of the seventh month in the seventh Sabbath year. (See “Hebcal”, the perpetual Hebrew calendar). The other 3 “shadow” Sabbaths in the fall feasts, the new moon of the seventh month being the first, fall on 7th-day Sabbaths in that same seventh Sabbath year. In this setting the Day of Atonement occurs on a Monday in the Sabbath year, but falls on the 7th day Sabbath in the next year, the year of Jubilee. A 7th day Sabbath new moon of this 7th month in the seventh Sabbath year, results in all 4 of the “shadow” Sabbaths of the fall feasts falling on 7th day Sabbaths in this manner. In this way all 4 of the shadow Sabbaths in the fall feasts can have their anti-typical fulfillment in the exact years, and on the exact days as typified by the extra special ceremonial significance. This is the reason why Jesus designed the Day of Atonement to occur on the tenth day of the seventh month, because only then can the Day of Atonement fall on a 7th day Sabbath in the Jubilee year. Only a mastermind could have designed such an intricate and precise schedule as is illustrated in the types of the fall feasts. Please ask if something is not clear to you. Quote
Johnnboy Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 THE 4 “SHADOW” SABBATHS ALIGN WITH 7TH-DAY SABBATHS The perpetual Hebrew calendar, “HEBCAL”, shows that all 4 lunar “shadow” Sabbaths of the fall feasts very often occur on seventh-day Sabbaths in two consecutive years. For example, look at these years listed in the list below. Of course, in most years they have no special significance, it is only when this phenomena occurs in the 49th and 50th years that it would have potential significance. The two Hebrew calendars are, HILLEL I (HI) used from Moses' time to about the year 354 C.E., & HILLEL II (HII) USED FROM 354 C.E. until TODAY. For example, in the year 2003, the “Feast of Trumpets”, the first day of the “Feast of Tabernacles” and the eighth day of the “Feast of Tabernacles”, all lunar “shadow” Sabbaths, fell on Holy seventh-day Sabbaths , and the very next year in 2004, the “Day of Atonement” occurred on the Holy seventh-day Sabbath, also. The exact same occurrence can be seen in each of the two consecutive years listed in the list below taken from “HEBCAL” Hillel II. Moderators LynnDel Posted May 31, 2012 Moderators Posted May 31, 2012 How does this affect the calendar for those who believe in the Karaite tradition - looking at ripening of the barley, instead of the rabbinical tradition which now rules the Jewish calendar? Quote LD
Johnnboy Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 LynnDel, To answer your question: Those who really believe in the original tradition held by the Karaite Jews would harmonize with the method used in the Hillel I calendar. For example, Tuesday, October 22, 1844, is the date of the Day of Atonement recognized by the Hillel I calendar for that year. Whereas, the Hillel II calendar for the year 1844, began the year with the new moon before the spring equinox and, therefore, the Day of Atonement for that year was, Monday, September 23, 1844, in the Hillel II calendar. Some of those who presently claim to uphold the Karaite tradition, are not following the original principles held by that group used in determining the first day of the first month, as originally they followed the ancient calendar, the Hillel I. They have deviated because of infiltration. Historically, one of the main differences between the Hillel I and the Hillel II calendars was the fact that the Hillel I calendar began the year with the new moon after the spring equinox and the Hillel II calendar began with the new moon nearest the spring equinox, which could be before the equinox in some years and could be after the equinox in others. Another difference is that the Hillel II calendar began the Passover and the week of the Feast of Unleavened Bread from the 15th day of the first month rather than on the 14th day, as is specified in Leviticus 23:5. A very important historical principle followed by the original Hillel I calendar which continues to be followed by the Hillel II calendar today, is the method used to determine the first day of the month. Either the night of the conjunction of the new moon is taken OR the first visible sliver of the new moon. The reason for this position is that if the new moon could fall on a weekly 7th day Sabbath, thereby causing all of the “shadow” lunar Sabbaths to fall on the same day as weekly 7th day Sabbaths by taking one position or the other, then, that would be the new moon of the first month and/or of the seventh month, the only two new moons from which all the annual feast days were calculated. Johnnboy Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 THE 8 SHADOW SABBATH ALIGNMENTS OF THE SPRING FEAST DAYS ON SEVENTH DAY SABBATHS IN HI AND HII FROM THE YEAR 2000 – 2085 Whenever the new moon happens to fall on a Holy seventh-Day Sabbath, only then, do the eight “shadow” Sabbaths scattered among the spring feast days actually fall on Holy seventh-Day Sabbaths. This exact same principle applies to all four of the “shadow” Sabbaths found within the fall feast days. Always remember that the Day of Atonement is the only annual feast day that has extra special significance in the Sabbath and Jubilee years, actually two consecutive years. Whereas, the Feast of Tabernacles only has extra special significance in the Sabbath years. 2012 - HI AND HII --------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 24, 2015 - HI AND HII --------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 21, 2016 - HI AND HII --------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 9, 2018 - HII ONLY-------------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 17, 2019 - HI AND HII --------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 6, 2022 - HI AND HII --------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 2, 2029 - HII ONLY -----------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 17, 2032 - HII ONLY -----------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 13, 2036 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 29, 2039 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 26, 2042 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 22, 2043 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 11, 2046 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 7, 2049 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 9, 2056 - HII ONLY------------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 18, 2059 - HII ONLY------------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 15, 2063 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 31, 2066 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 27, 2069 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 23, 2073 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 8, 2076 - HI AND HII -------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH APRIL 4, 2083 - HII ONLY -----------NISAN NEW MOON ON SABBATH MARCH 20, etc. etc. etc. Quote
