We bring pain upon ourselves like when we ignore the principles of health reform. Is that what Stan meant to say when he asked, Why do we allow it? He didn't say. But if it is what he meant to say, I agree. Another source of pain is Satan, the author of sin and suffering. Look at the pain he brought upon Job because of His being faithful to God! And, on top of that, he brought three so-called friends to him to make him feel responsible for his sufferings. God allowed Satan to bring much pain upon Job and yet Job remained loyal to God. "Pain is nature's protest against abuse." 2 S.M.451. "Failure to give digestive organs proper rest causes suffering."
