Most scholars do not believe or follow the Bible, but digging up fragments is good for publicity & grant money. Makes for great gossip and sensational sermons, but usually detracts from present truth. Put another way: Salvation hinges on the truths God has preserved in the Word. When we know these by heart and walk in them, then we might be prepared to examine speculative theories. Satan is busy because the time is short. Quote

Won Won, I didn't miss your point, I just answered your post by saying that as far as I'm concerned, I don't waste my time with this garbage. It wasn't that long ago Won, when they found a casket or something like that, that had Jesus' name plus James' name on it and everyone thought that they had been buried together, or something to that effect. It took them a few years to finally admit that it was a farce! or a fake. Anyway when it came out I also ignored it. Paul also mentioned something to that effect about marriage, if you really can't give your wife the time than just don't get married. Just saying. No I don't believe Jesus loved John anymore than the other disciples. I would have to go back and reread but I don't think there is anything to point to Jesus loving any one person over another. I'm of the opinion that Jesus offers all of His gifts equally to all people in the fallen human race. That would include the gift of His love. Some refuse to accept the gift and the gift of free will disallows the same measure of love to many and some even say most of humanity. A measure of time elapses for all to accept or reject the reception of Jesus' freely offered gift of eternal life, with all that implies about Love being the source of Life. (God is Love) Who does God love the most? Those who willingly recieve the gifts that lead to eternal life. And the Bible describes the church (you and me) as His bride. "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.
