Gibs Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 A mistake in doing the math is the reason for the great confusion on this subject. It starts the prophecy with 457 BC and this is a Jubilee year. All year for a day prophecy is done on the Jubilee calendar. It has weeks of years instead of solar days as the weekly and both an unending recurring of seven. What must be understood is 7X7 is 49 and then a Jubilee the next year. That year falls in the first year of the next cycle of sevens which can not be broken. So the fiftieth year is also the the first year. So now you can see where most make a mistake in the math. 457 BC is the fiftieth year and is the first of the next seven. And so when we begin our count 457 BC is inclusive and is year 1 in our count down through 1 BC, and that gives us 457 years, not 456 as with that count you did not count 457 as one. Now the 490 years which is 70 weeks of years minus 457 leaves us 33 more years to count up then starting with and including 1 AD we end up 33 AD. 34 AD then of course being a Jubilee and year one of the next cycle of seven. Now 27, 28, 29, "30", 31, 32,33 AD is that Seventieth week and notice 30 AD is the middle of the week not 31. Proving A.D. 30 is the Year of Christ’s Death Daniel 9:27 says, ". . . In the middle of the ‘seven’ [or week] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering." Gabriel said that Jesus would die in the middle year of the seventieth week. (See Chart 6.7.) Since we know that Jesus died at the time of Passover (John 12), and since there is widely accepted astronomical data for A.D. 30 that is accurate to within two hours, there is sufficient evidence to prove beyond reasonable debate that Jesus was crucified on Friday, April 7, A.D. 30. (There is another signature seven in April 7!) If we allow Bible history and the synchrony of God’s Great Clocks to resolve the question of the time of His death, all of the data presented in the Gospels concerning Christ’s passion week harmoniously fits together. In fact, A.D. 30 exclusively satisfies the synchrony required by all seven clocks which the Creator devised! A.D. 30 is the only year during which all of the events described in Scripture could have occurred. How Israel Measured Time The Jews normally measured time inclusively. Any part of a year, month or day counted as a whole unit. Remember how Tiberius came to power about two months before Tishri 1 (the beginning of a new Jewish civil year), but Luke counted those two months as a whole year. (Luke 3:1) Similarly, if someone came to your home on Tuesday and left on Wednesday, the ancients would measure the time your guest visited in your home to be two days and two nights – Tuesday and Wednesday – even though the actual time was less than twenty-four hours. Because a day consists of a dark portion and a light portion, any part of two days was called "two days and two nights." This inclusive method for measuring time explains how Jesus could be dead for three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40), even though the Bible says the Father resurrected Jesus on – not after – the third day (Acts 10:40), which was Sunday, the first day of the week. (John 20:1-5) Using inclusive reckoning, Jesus was in the tomb for three days and three nights: Friday, Sabbath and Sunday. However, He was slain on Friday afternoon, rested in the Tomb on Sabbath and resurrected on Sunday. The number of hours that Jesus was dead was less than forty hours (two hours on Friday afternoon, twenty-four hours on Sabbath and ten to twelve hours on Sunday). The timing of this matter can be demonstrated beyond the point of reasonable controversy! One more point about inclusive measurement of time. Eighteen prophetic time periods are in Daniel and Revelation’s seventeen prophecies, and from God’s perspective, all of them use inclusive reckoning. The decree by Artaxerxes in 457 B.C. occurs during the first year of the seventy weeks; therefore, the year of the decree is included in the count of 490 years. (See Chart 6.7.) The time period of forty years the Israelites spent in the wilderness was measured with inclusive reckoning. (Deuteronomy 2:14; Numbers 14:34) The three days allotted to Pharaoh’s cupbearer was measured with inclusive reckoning. (Genesis 40:12,13) One Moon – Two Months History says the Jews abandoned God’s "new moon" synchrony for determining the beginning of a new month. In its place, they adopted the Babylonian method of sighting the first crescent of a new moon to determine the beginning of a month. Even today, Jews and Moslems continue the practice of sighting a new moon to determine the beginning of a religious month. God’s synchrony for starting a new month is based on calculation, not observation. A new moon occurs when the moon crosses an imaginary line between Earth and the Sun. Since a new moon cannot be seen (the moon is between Earth and the Sun), the time of conjunction has to be calculated. Calculation of a new moon is not difficult. (See Numbers 28:14; 1 Samuel 20:24-27; Isaiah 66:23.) Of course, when two different methods for starting a given month are used, there are two different results. The difference between these two methods is usually two days. The sighting of the new crescent of a moon occurs in Jerusalem anywhere between sixteen to forty hours after conjunction. Because there are two methods for starting a new month (thus, two calendars) in the New Testament, there is confusion about the timing of Christ’s death. The Bible indicates that Jesus and His disciples (and other Jews) observed Passover according to the "new moon" calendar, even though the nation of Israel observed its corporate Passover according to the Babylonian method for starting a new month. (Mark 14; John 13) Since the moon determines the first day of the month for both groups of people, the position of the moon plays an important role in determining the date for Passover. God commanded the Passover lamb to be slain on Nisan 14 as the day was ending, and after roasting the lamb for a few hours, it was to be eaten at midnight on the fifteenth day of the first month. The Lord passed over Egypt at midnight on the fifteenth of Nisan. (Exodus 12; Leviticus 23:5,6; Numbers 28:16,17; Luke 22:1-8) Therefore, any attempt to determine a date and time for the death of Jesus has to address the astronomical position of a new moon for Nisan 1, as well as the first sighting of the crescent of a new moon. After the Babylonian captivity, the Jews often observed two Feasts of Passover in the same month. This conflict (and many other contradictory issues) gave the Romans another reason to mock the Jews. Even as late as the fourth century A.D., the emperor Constantine used the competing observance of two Passovers to prove that Christians should not depend upon the Jews to determine the correct time for Passover (the observance of Easter was determined by the time for Passover in those days). Notice his denigrating comments: "We ought not, therefore, to have anything in common with the Jews, for the Savior has shown us another way; our worship follows a more legitimate and more convenient course; and consequently, in unanimously adopting this mode, we desire, dearest brethren, to separate ourselves from the detestable company of the Jews, for it is truly shameful for us to hear them boast that without their direction we could not keep this feast [of Easter at the proper time]. How can they be in the right, they who, after the death of the Savior, have no longer been led by reason but by wild violence, as their delusions may urge them? They do not possess the truth in this Easter question; for in their blindness and repugnance to all improvement, they frequently celebrate two Passovers in the same year." (Eusebius, Vita Const., Lib iii., 18-20, insertions mine) Two Passovers in One Week! When Jesus came to Earth, He came to declare the truth on many issues which the Jews had distorted. The presence of two calendars (and two Passovers) in Israel solves an interesting mystery, namely, how Jesus could observe Passover at its appointed time with His disciples in the upper room (on Nisan 15 – Mark 14:14-16), and within the same year, also die at the time of the national Passover which took place on Nisan 15 (John 19:14-31)! The solution to this mystery is quite simple. Jesus and His disciples observed Passover in the upper room according to God’s synchrony for the month (new moon to new moon), but Jesus died on the cross according to the Babylonian method of starting a new month (the sighting of the first crescent of a new moon)! Since the observance of two calendars was a common part of Jewish life, Gospel writers do not specifically mention that two conflicting calendars existed. For two thousand years, this silence has caused a lot of controversy over the day and date of Christ’s death. I hope the following explanation eliminates the confusion surrounding the time of Christ’s death. Jesus was crucified on Friday afternoon, April 7, A.D. 30, which is the precise year required by Daniel 9! Even though most Christians accept A.D. 30 as the year of Christ’s death, few understand that it is in the middle of the seventieth week and even fewer understand how this date is determined. Step 1 Solar and lunar tables posted at the United States Naval Observatory (USNO) website offer astronomical data covering the years Jesus was on Earth. This data has been carefully verified by several astronomers through the years and is accurate to within one or two hours. The dates and times from the USNO are given in Universal Time. Notice the date of the equinox and the time of conjunction for years A.D. 29-31, especially notice the days of the week: A.D. 29 Vernal Equinox: Tuesday, March 22, 4 p.m. First New Moon on or after Equinox: Saturday, April 2, 5 p.m. A.D. 30 Vernal Equinox: Wednesday, March 22, 10 p.m. First New Moon on or after Equinox: Wednesday, March 22, 6 p.m. A.D. 31 Vernal Equinox: Friday, March 23, 3 a.m. First New Moon on or after Equinox: Tuesday, April 10, 12 noon This link should work now, I corrected it from a former post I had made. Source: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/faq/docs/SpringPhenom.php Step 2 According to the dates and times published by the USNO, a new moon occurred on the same night as the Equinox in A.D. 30. (Jerusalem local time for the new moon was 8 p.m. and for the Equinox, midnight.) Since a new moon and the Equinox occurred on the same day, a new month and a new year began on Wednesday night, March 22, Universal Time. Converting Universal Time to Bible Time: Wednesday night, March 22 becomes Thursday, March 23 and Nisan 1. This translation is necessary because a day in God’s calendar begins at sundown. (Genesis 1; Leviticus 23:32) Notice in the New Moon calendar (Chart 6.8) that New Year’s day (Nisan 1) occurred on Thursday and Passover (Nisan 15) occurred on a Thursday in A.D. 30. 457 BC a Jubilee yr and the 1'st yr of the next cycle, go 490 more yrs brings us to 33 AD, the end of the 70'th wk allotted to the Jews, the next yr, 34 AD is a Jubilee and the first yr of the next cycle of 49's, 7x7. Jesus and the Disciples had the last supper on a Thursday and had determined the Passover by calculating the new moon as at times the first sliver cannot be seen for a couple days. Now the Jews who reckoned the new moon did it the Babylonian method of sighting it and were two days late. The full moon was two days old when they did the passover which landed in the Holy Seventh day Sabbath and was called "an high day" because of that. Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. He was dead by decree Thursday night, Friday night and Sabbath night. Being the last two nights are only a sleep. Blessings to see the truth. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ

Some of you may not like Larry Wilson, but he is not your enemy. I would have done it all in my words but typing out things for me is not my cup of tea, I'm very slow at it. Gibs Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Gerhard, You truly are all mixed up. Read the Joh 19:31 in the KJV, I did not add to the verse! The tyn the ylt and the original KJV16 state that is was a high day Sabbath. Joh 19:31 ¶ The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. It was also the Babylonion reckoning Jews Passover, the true Passover was two days before. The right year of of His cruicifiction must be determined as the year before or after don't satisfy John 19:31 and much more. I suggest Gerhard that you go back and read the post I made again and this time get each thought presented and think about it, you did not study it. You are just fighting against it. The info I posted is absolutely correct and anyone who truly wants the truth of it will see it from my original post of this thread. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
Gibs Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Thursday on our calendar and Nissan 14, Jesus and His Disciples did the last supper. Friday before sundown He was dead, crucified. Then Sabbath was the day the Jews not of Christ had their Passover, full moon was two days old. Called a High Sabbath because no only the Seventh Day but Pasover for them. A new day begins at sundown I suppose you realize and the Sabbath began after preparation day. The LORDS day is the Sabbath day. Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: This is what John is referring to. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. jasd Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 >>The info I posted is absolutely correct<< Umm, there is a predicating antecedent, that impinges upon the Seventy-weeks Prophecy – that is being overlooked: Dan 9:7 …to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, [that are] near, and [that are] far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, […] Dan 9:11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, […] Dan 9:20 And whiles I [was] speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, […] Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, At no time which is being forwarded as the time of the Seventy-weeks Prophecy – was all Israel in view – they, together with much of the Southern Kingdom of Judah – having long been removed, dispersed, and [supposedly] lost among the heathen. At no time during the construction and development of the ‘interpretation’ of Daniel 9 – no, not even to this day – was all Israel in view. Ipso facto, the completion of the Seventy-weeks Prophecy remains yet in our future – when all Israel will be in view. Of course, this then would obviously lend credence to the gap proposed by your Protesting brethren, which in turn, underlines a yet unfulfilled Seven years of the prophecy. Quote
jasd Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 >>Called a High Sabbath because no only the Seventh Day but Pasover for them.<< You don't have a problem with the designated labors that attended the Pasch?--I mean, should 'High Sabbath' refer to a coincidence of the Pasch with the Seventh-day Sabbath - then there is labor involved upon the Seventh-day Sabbath. If Pasch was itself the 'High Sabbath', well then, there would not then have necessitated labor upon the Seventh-day Sabbath. Moreover, it would have allowed an intervening day (Friday) upon which the women may have purchased and prepared the incense and spices before the Seventh-day Sabbath, wherein they rested - after which in the predawn hours of Sunday they went to the tomb... Gibs Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 jasd, It all happened with the ministry of Jesus. He has much to say to those who persecuted Him. The prophecy states the 70 wks were to begin with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and there were 4 but only the one of 457 BC was the effective one. Do not you see that? It also had to be the one as it is the one that not only became effective but had to be a Jubilee yr. as all new beginnings are. That was a new beginning. All of the prophecy is by the Jubilee calendar and it the reason for yr for a day as it is the calendar of yrs. jasd Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 What do you think?--does Gd suspend time counts? "In Acts 13, Paul gives a brief accounting of Israel's history (vs. 18 - 22)... Out of Egypt----in the wilderness (40 years), Times of the Judges--------------(450 years), King Saul------------------------(40 years), Total-----------------------------(530 years) We know that David reigned-------(40 years) and that Solomon started his temple in the third year of his reign--------(3 years) When you add all these together, the total is 573 years from the Exodus to the building of the 1st temple. And yet, in I Kings 6:1 it says that from the Exodus to the 4th year of Solomon's reign when the temple was started the time period was 480 years. There is a 93 year discrepancy. However, when you factor out the times in which the people of Israel, under the Judges, were given over by God to their enemies.......Judges 3:8, 3:14, 4:2,3, 6:1, and 13:1.......it is a period of 93 years." --The Coming Prince, Sir Robert Anderson, Kregel Publications, p. 83 Interuption or suspension theory? Valid? Was the concept that Gd suspended time counts vis-à-vis Israel fact - how would that affect a 'Jubilee count'? Quote

Samie Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Gibs, Relative to your OP, do you have any comment on the following? Luke records that Jesus was baptized on the 15th year of Tiberius’ reign as Emperor (see Luke 3:1, 21). History has it that Tiberius started his reign 14 AD. His 15th year therefore is 28 AD. There is then no escaping that in consonance with Scripture specification, Christ was baptized in 28 AD, the 15th year of Tiberius’ reign. John bears witness that after His baptism, Jesus spent 3 Passovers including the one just before His crucifixion (see John 2:13; 6:4; 11:55). The Passover in 28 AD cannot possibly be counted, because the Jews start their religious year in the month of Nisan or Abib, the Passover month, and the Passover that year, in all probability, had already passed when Jesus was baptized. This can be gleaned from the fact that after His baptism, His first miracle done at Cana came just days before a Passover feast (see John 2:11-13). Because Passover is an annual feast, the 3 possible Passover feasts Christ celebrated after His baptism in 28 AD, were those in 29, 30 & 31 AD. This makes evident that Thursday, April 6, 30 AD cannot qualify as candidate for Christ’s last Passover celebration, because it would only account for 2 Passover feasts attended by Jesus before His crucifixion as against the 3 Passover feasts recorded by John. Does this not prove that Thursday, April 6, 30 AD fails to pass the test of Scriptures? In Christ Our Savior, Samie Quote
Gibs Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 30 AD has to be the right yr and there is no doubt about it. It is simple to see even though very few will see the Jubilee calendar on this, God's prophecy did not miss. The proof is, for the Jews using the Babylonian method of determining the 1'st day of the "moonth" was two days late as the first sliver was two days sooner but couldn't be seen. Now since the scripture states As the following verse reaveals, is preparation day and the Sabbath would be a high day. Now there never was any more than two days difference in two passovers. So we know it wasn't preparation day on Friday but the day before, on our calendars, Thursday that the Jews who did it right and Jesus too. Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 30 AD is proven to match that and proves it without a doubt, Thursday was the true passover Jesus and the Disciples observerd but Those Jews did it two days late and so they had "a high Sabbath day" A high day means another sabbath falls with the Holy Seventh day Sabbth. It wasn't really as the true passover was earlier. This also matches the Jubilee calendar reckoning and this one is God's time clock in years and any who know it know it is not off 1 year as it hits all known Jubilee years, which are new beginnings. That is the reason for the Jubilee. Now since the Jubilee always falls on the 1'st day of the next cycle of sevens, the Jubilee is also counted as one, So 457 BC is #1 year in our count through 1BC and then 457 from the 490 yrs of the 70 wks allotted we have 33 yrs left to go, So 1 AD through 33 is it. And so, 27,28,29, "30", 31, 32, 33 AD is our 70'th week. 30 AD is the only yr the right match up can be made, 31 AD you will not have the Babylonian Jews having a "high day" Sabbath. Peruse the Jubilee calendar here and it shows many of the Jubilee yrs, which are new beginnings which proves it is not off. The Jubilee was always a new beginning for many as the land went back to the original owner. Samie Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 30 AD has to be the right yr and there is no doubt about it.... Yes, there is. Not only doubt, but proof 30 AD is wrong. Christ wast baptized in 28 AD, the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius. He attended 3 Passover feasts after His baptism, the first one in 29 AD. If He was crucified 30 AD, then He attended only 2, and that is against Scriptures. You may have not considered this fact before, did you, brother Gibs? Quote
Samie Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Baptized in 28 AD, the 3 Passover feasts attended by the Lord Jesus Christ were those in 29 AD, 30 AD & 31 AD. Being a full moon festival, the Lord celebrated His last Passover in the first full moon after the spring equinox of 31 AD. That full moon was on Tuesday night, March 27, 31 AD. He was crucified Wednesday, March 28 and after 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth, He rose from the grave on early Saturday morning, March 31, 31 AD, in fulfillment of His own prophecy: Quote: Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Mark 8:31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. The prophecy in Dan 9 deals with events shortly before the 2nd Coming of the Lord as the Master Teacher Himself pointed out in Matt 24:14-31. Quote

Samie Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 There is no doubt Christ was crucified in 31 AD. If crucifixion was on a Friday, then it had to be on April 27, 31 AD and the Lord would have celebrated Passover on April 26. But April 26, 31 AD was not a full moon! And God had specifically instructed that Passover is a full moon feast. Therefore, Christ simply will not celebrate Passover on April 26 because in doing so He would be violating the Law He said He came to fulfill. Quote: Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Gibs Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 I'm sorry Samie but I don't see it as you do. The scripture upholds that the Jews that crucified him had Passover on the Sabbath following preparation. " A High Day" proves it! 31 AD don't jib up with the facts of what the scripture states. Jesus died preparation day before Sabbath, a high Sabbath because they also had Passover Neither does 31 AD jib with the Jubilee calendar and the prophecy is given on it whether you want to receive or not is up to you. His prophecy does not fail and the 490 years ended the year AD 33, next year, 34 AD was another new beginning, a Jubilee, Gospel went to the Gentiles. Again there is no way on earth you can start with 457 BC and come up with 31 AD as the mid year of the 70'th wk. 10 Jubilee cycles fills the 490 yrs exactly! 49 x 10 is 490. The end of the yr 33 AD being the end of the 490 is solid you can't move it. Samie Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Gibs, You say you can do your math properly, but why is it you can't seem to tell the difference between 3 Passover feasts from 2? If in the lower numbers such as 2 & 3 your math fails, how can it be said you do your math properly in the higher numbers? For quite some time till now, you still fail to address the issue that Scriptures record 3 Passover feasts attended by the Savior after His baptism in 28 AD. Your sheer insistence of a 30 AD crucifixion will mean He attended only 2 Passover feasts. You are misapplying the 70 week prophecy. The messiah mentioned in Dan 9:25,26 does not refer to our Savior, but to the prince of the covenant referred to in Dan 11:22. The covenant mentioned both in Dan 9:27 and Dan 11:22,28,30,32 is not the new covenant ratified by the death of the Savior, but a league entered into by the prince with the vile person king of Dan 11, who also is the little horn king of Dan 7 & 8, who also is the man of sin, who also is the beast of Rev 13. Again, the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 are literal 490 days and will find fulfillment shortly before the 2nd Coming as delineated by the Master Teacher Himself in Matt 24:14-31. Don't you see verse 9:27 sets it solid, Da 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Don't you know what caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease in the middle of that 70'th wk of yrs? Jesus died on the cross and His shed blood is what it all pointed to. That ended the sacrificial services, they ceased! Yes even to the consumation. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
Samie Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Read Dan 9:27 again, Gibs: Quote: NIV Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' {Or 'week'} In the middle of the 'seven' {Or 'week'} he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." The person responsible for "putting an end to sacrifice and offering" or "taking away of the daily", is also responsible for the setting up of the abomination of desolation!!! Are you saying Christ will set up the abomination of desolation which Scriptures portray is the image of the beast??? NO, Sir! You are terribly mistaken. The setting up of the abomination of desolation is a devil-inspired activity and you are attributing it to our Savior!!!??? Again, the Savior had indicated in Mat 24:15-31 that the setting up of the abomination of desolation will trigger a rapid succession of events that will culminate in His 2nd Coming. This enables us to clearly see that Dan 9:27 is related with the 2nd Coming of the Lord, and NOT to His death as you now misunderstand it to be. To say that the Lord is the one pointed to as the one who takes away the daily referred to in Dan 9:27 is bordering on blasphemy because He will then also be responsible for setting up the image of the beast, who is the archenemy of truth! As pointed out in an earlier post, the covenant referred to in Dan 9:27 is a league between the man of sin and the prince who will come as described in Dan 11:22. This covenant is between the man of sin and the prince. This is not the New Covenant because the New Covenant is between God and mankind. Think, brother Gibs, and reconsider your position. Quote
Gibs Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Samie, here is a place the KJV had better been read, Da 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Then after "oblation to ceaase", then the overspreading of obominations will occur over all the earth, then that determined will be poured out upon the desolate ones, Satan and all who have fallen in with him. The middle of the 70'th week Jesus did die as prophecied and then the end of it was the allotted for them to get it right and it ended it for them as they didn't, then the obominations spread all over the earth. Samie SDAdventism don't have this wrong, this is the pillar of the faith that cannot be moved. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Samie Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Gibs, KJV or NIV or whatever version tells the same. The book of the prophet Daniel tells of only one 'daily' and only one 'abomination of desolation'. The 'daily' taken away is the 'sacrifice and oblation' made to cease. In Dan 12:11, the setting up of the abomination of desolation comes 1290 days after the 'daily' had been taken away: Quote: ESV Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. KJV Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. NAS Daniel 12:11 "And from the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. NIV Daniel 12:11 "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. NKJ Daniel 12:11 "And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. The only reference the Savior had to the book of prophet Daniel was when he was explaining to his disciples events related with His Second Coming (see Matt 24:15-31). He began that explanation by referring to the setting up of the abomination of desolation that triggers the great tribulation which when ended ushers in unusual celestial phenomena capped by the 2nd Coming of our Lord. Dan 9 tells of the same 'daily' and the same 'abomination of desolation', which tells us in no uncertain terms the 70-week prophecy will find fulfillment shortly before the 2nd Coming. This explains why the 457 BC supposed start of the 70-weeks and 2300 days is a forced fit square peg in a round hole. Whereas Scriptures specify a commandment to build and restore Jerusalem, the 457BC decree of Artaxerxes Longimanus, Ezra explicitly said, was for beautification of the temple in Jerusalem: Quote: KJV Ezra 7:27 Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem Since when is beautification of the temple = rebuilding of Jerusalem? Gibs Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Samie, you go and have it your way, that is your choice. I am one who will never go your view and many and I think about all SDA's on this forum. You are twisting the scripture in some popular view of others to refute the truth given to the true ones of God, the SDA reform movement which went the furthest and best of them all. This and is the only reform movement that had a messenger sent of God to give it guidance and light no others have ever had. Yes Ellen G White, and some hate her but she was without any doubt sent of God and did her work well. The church did however began falling away beginning 1901 in a big way, by 1903 had gotten started srongly on the falling away and has excellerated since. Now I know maybe most SDA's will not recognize that but mine and many with me see and for a lot of years. Again Samie, the KJV is superior, read, Da 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
