BobRyan Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 however the one conducting the interview appears to be clueless about the fact that Christopher Hudson is not the Pastor and spiritual advisor at the church that Jones attends and is not a pastor anywhere else. And yet - every bit if dissinformation seems to come in handy in these cases. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." Woody Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Stan,Thanks for posting this. I think Stephan Bladwin speaks for a lot of us. As a new Christian, Angus Jones has a lot to learn about "holding his mouth right" when he witnesses for Jesus. Goodness knows I've been a Christian for over 40 years; and I still suffer from severe "hoof in mouth" (or "hoof on keyboard") disease. We all have occasional flare-ups. Everyone (media and church) needs to cut the kid some slack. Considering Baldwin was just arrested today - I hope he doesn't speak for many. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
NJK Project Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 The following blog post commentary on the Angus T. Jones Conversion and Testimony may be helpful here. (See also the supplied listing of info links, which includes some snippets of his conversion history/journey, in (currently) Note #15) Quote Matt 25:45
BobRyan Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I like this part of it. Quote: I am glad to hear of the conversion of child TV/Movie star, now 19 year old, Angus T. Jones to the Remnant (SDA) Church message, and, personally, not at all because ‘a celebrity has joined the SDA Church’, but, just from reading and seeing the various interviews that he has given about his conversion, you can see that, unlike the many knee-jerk claims, in the secular world, he has a sound personal and spiritual grasp of both the Christian message in general as well as the furthering distinctive truths of the Remnant (SDA) Church itself, -and in my view, on many key levels, he actually has a more advanced understanding of what God expects of a true/full follower of his than most SDA’s both individually and corporately. Much (digital) “ink” and “film” has been set forth on Jones’s conversion, so I won’t be going into those details in this blog post commenting [see some links in this note[15]], A.T Jones' message in that interview with Forerunner - is just what the Laodiceans had hoped they would not hear. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." Who ever they are and who ever you are trying to be critical of and your comment doesn't link to anything!!! Speak up dude, be specific, generalities are basically wasteful for conversation, that is, a meaningful one. Quote

It in fact is: people subjectively/biasedly/selectively picking and choosing what “abominations” they will denounce, and which ones they will be silent about which results in that God-repulsed “lukewarm” state. As God ideally desires, and eventually will only tolerate, it should be all or nothing. (Rev 3:15-16). Quote Matt 25:45

Members phkrause Posted December 11, 2012 Members Posted December 11, 2012 Thanks for the lead Gerry. It seems most just think he's crazy for throwing all that money away, because none of them have his best interests in mind. It seems it always one way or another comes down to money. They all know that the show is just filth, but don't want to agree with him. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. TTN2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I just hope he is not paraded around like some kind of trophy. I felt that Ralph & Shelley Winters of a bygone Hollywood era were paraded somewhat, and then they dropped out. I don't think Shelley Winters was ever an Adventist. I suspect you are referring to Western movie actress Penny Edwards as I've read about her on the internet and I think her husband's name was Ralph Winters or Withers. I grew up in the 70's hearing Penny Singleton (star of the Blondie movies and much more famous actress than Ms. Edwards) became an Adventist in the 1950's and years ago tried to research this up on the internet only to discover it was Penny Edwards not Penny Singleton. Thank you. That's the name I was trying to remember: Penny Edwards. She's the one I saw being introduced at General Conference Session. Then I never heard anything more about her after that time. BobRyan Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Just imagine how easy it might have been for A.T Jones to remain employed without conflict - playing in movies with Roy Rogers instead of his current show. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin."
