I'll will continue to insert reality into the disillusion that Americans have been free for the past 200 years. It is a fact of history that they have not. If you don't allow a significant proportion of your people to vote that means the country is not free. It's that simple.

It's not even about slavery. Slavery ended in the 19th century. Many of the injustices ended in the 1960's. Freedom came to Americans in the 1960's. Since then Americans have free and full access to the voting process. That is a fundamental right.

It has been a long difficult road to freedom but it is an inspiration to other nations that America has matured in this way.

Would you say that Americans should not have been given the freedoms they were given in the 50 & 60's? It's a good thing to be able to vote right?
