Administrators debbym Posted January 11, 2013 Administrators Posted January 11, 2013 It was in 1893, sigh... who would have known the lowly tomato would have been the telling occasion for such inexcusable, blatant, lying. And it is a fruit. Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
Neil D Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I dunno if it's a fruit or a veggie..... I do know that y'all are what you eat.... and some of you act like vegetarians....and others act like fruits...... I'm just sayin......... Moderators Gerr Posted January 11, 2013 Moderators Posted January 11, 2013 Thought since the whole time I have been here all the arguements, debates and fights have basically been about womens ordination, homosexuality and guns, it would be nice to have a new topic to go for the throat about. So here we have it. Tomatoes. Are these delicious sandwich and salad ingredients a fruit or a vegetable? Oh - no sources of your answer required. It's BOTH! Quote
Ted Oplinger Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Oh...now the tomato needs therapy...it has two personalities at once! Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings "Courage is being scared to death - and saddling up anyway" - John Wayne "The person who pays an ounce of principle for a pound of popularity gets badly cheated" - Ronald Reagan
Neil D Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Oh...now the tomato needs therapy...it has two personalities at once! ....which may explain why some of you, who eat the tomatoe, are bipolar... Administrators debbym Posted January 11, 2013 Administrators Posted January 11, 2013 it actually is a berry, I AM SHOCKED!! those cherry tomatoes I have been eating have really been berry tomatoes all this time, and berries are fruit, This berry has been masquerading as a vegetable long enough, the truth will be exposed. two personalities? seemingly so.... one quasi personality and one real one. call the syndicated press get the show on the roll. deb Quote deb Love awakens love. joeb Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Oh now you want to bring cucumbers into it. Start your own thread!!! HERESY! So we have people saying it is a fruit yet no one ever eats it for desert, or as Gail says puts it in fruit salads. So why is it a fruit? Huh? No one ever eats a tomato for desert? I can eat tomato sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and that includes having one for dessert.... Just love tomatoes. One of my favority foods. Windsor Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Culinary wise - it is a vegetable - always will be. Botanically speaking, it's a fruit. Quote Remember Adventists Online?
