Neil D Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Quote: My library doesn't have the book "Games People Play", so I don't have that virus like the public at large, besides I am still trying to memorize the book of Leviticus. Thanks for that advice, but I doubt if I could ever go there by being deceptive. What you see is what you get! Wouldn't it be a nicer world in those that meet behind closed door & no windows turned over a new leaf and forgot all about being deceptive? I played that game back in high school and college. I found that my moods were dark and I didn't attract a lot of people to me. In fact, some just were repelled by my dark moods. Someone realized what I was doing, and said that if I acted nicer, smiled more, I would attract more people to me. Amazingly, it worked! And my dark moods didn't seem as dark. I had more sympathy, and more clarity as I had more people to bounce ideas off and, ya know, I like that 'mask'. It was one in which I could live with. Ya know, Ed, you ought to try acting happy or at least put a smile on everymorning, regardless of how you feel. You might like what happens to you.... And if that works, you might attempt to change the system from the inside, instead of raging against it from the outside. It may not be perfect, but if the goal is to change the system to be better, it seems logical that the best place to make the system better would be to begin with oneself.
