Daryl Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 Here is the link to the list of supporting pastors within their Union: http://ordinationtruth.com/supporting-pastors/ Here is another interesting link from that site: http://ordinationtruth.com/about-us/npuc-supporting-pastors-questions-and-responses/ Quote In His Love, Mercy & Grace Daryl http://www.maritime-sda-online.com https://www.pugwashsdachurch.org/media?page=1&sort_by=Date&is_ascending=0&search=&tags=&presenter=
Stan Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 They have almost 100,000 members with around 500 Churches or companies.. and only about 30 supporting pastors. That is exceptionally low for any cause. AND that list includes retired Pastors. This is one of Larry Kirkpatrick websites. Woody Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 that doesn't mean much Saying someone is ordained or commissioned or certified or verified - really doesn't state a great deal Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted February 5, 2013 Administrators Posted February 5, 2013 Didn't know Larry had transferred out of the Pacific Union. So how is my old buddy Larry? Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted February 5, 2013 Members Posted February 5, 2013 I expect the NPUC to follow suit. They don't want to be outdone by the East or California. It's all about "appearances" and church politics .... and nothing to do with whether or not someone is pastor material.. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

ClubV12 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Stan says, "That is exceptionally low for any cause." Interesting point you make Stan, are you suggesting all doctrinal details should be established by the majority? That did not work out well for the Children of Israel over the centuries. Joshua and Caleb could testify to that, as could Daniel, Jeremiah and many others. I'm thankful to see that a handful of Pastors have the courage to stand up and be counted. At least we have the possibility of real dialog on the issue now. Not the continual one sided completely biased position that most, including THIS forum, have taken. Deriding, denigrating, disparaging those who opppose W.O. Shame on you people who would force others to cease and desist from voicing their opinion by your bully tactics! Quote
Woody Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I feel God's Spirit is moving in the West and some parts of the East. Praising God for His Church. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted February 5, 2013 Members Posted February 5, 2013 I feel God's Spirit is moving in the West and some parts of the East. Praising God for His Church. Why post that statement? It's provoking and rude, as it gives the impression that anyone who opposes what you think is listening to the spirit of the devil. Moderators lazarus Posted February 5, 2013 Moderators Posted February 5, 2013 Oh! People are still talking about Women's Ordination? That's so 2012! Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein

joeb Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 After reading this thread it appears that all the mocking and sarcasm comes from one side--the pro womens ordination side. That's the standard tool used to suppress opposition to anything in the online world. Not all on the pro side engage in it, but that's where it's coming from, and no one on the pro side says that's enough. Quote Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.Alexis de Tocqueville

Really, far less so than self identifying ones group standing in opposition to WO as "Ordination Truth" or the more pointed condemnations of WO contained on the site. Perhaps you should read more closely (see post of ClubV12) and more widely, even within this sub forum. If you will take the time to read through the many posts/threads right here about the whole topic you will find a whole lot of mocking, ridicule and harsh rhetoric from the the other side of the issue as well. ClubV12 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Your in denial of reality Tom. The suppression of serious dialog on the issue of WO has been and remains pervasive and widespread. Why do you fear a serious dialog on this issue, Tom? If it is the truth, it can withstand close examination, not suppression. Not denigration, such as you have specifically done toward me, Tom. Going so far as to delete my posts and the posts of others that dare to raise a voice against WO. Pot calling the kettle black? Not at all, it's past time for a reality check, the suppression of truth has gone far enough. It's not only THIS forum, it's wide spread throughout the Union and Conference. In many cases employing the same tactics as those who fight for LGBT rights. They don't "dialog", they want victory at any cost, Tom. Quote
ClubV12 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 The evidence so far suggests that a discussion might be nothing more than fake dialogue! Those who do not support W.O., or those who simply desire a fair hearing on the matter, would be pleased to be shown otherwise. The outcome of any attempted discussion, or supporting thread, appears to be predetermined. Those who oppose W.O. WILL BE denigrated, rebuked and harassed. The materials published on OrdinationTruth.com are a reasonable alternative view point for those who believe truth can withstand close scrutiny. Quote
CoAspen Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Take a deep breath.......count to 10....feel better!!! You need to exam all of the threads, count up the pro's and con's, then tell us where you are correct in you assumption. So far, just accusations, no facts!! Quote
Administrators debbym Posted February 6, 2013 Administrators Posted February 6, 2013 i have a great solution just stop ordaining anyone. Man's appointing may or may not coincide with God's appointing anyway. We believe in the priesthood of all believers. the ordained have privileges beyond the conference, then just give those privileges as they are earned, and given by a committee vote individual by individual. so the argurment is that men may travel and minister from conference to conference, but women need to stay within the conference they are employed as pastors. there is no complaint against women pastors, just ones that can travel and work outside the conference that employs them. hmmmmm Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
