BobRyan Posted August 24, 2013 Author Posted August 24, 2013 Quote: Popular Adventist folklore. Having yesterday watched an evangelistic effort that ran for 14 days by a Seventh Day Adventist evangelist and team, where over 30,000 people were baptized into the Lord Jesus which helps to corroborate the 1,000,000 annual growth, much of that figure from predominantly Latino countries, I'm wondering from what fairy tales you might be drawing your folk lore figures. 30,000 in a single seminar?!! (NET?) Outstanding! Latter rain material! I mentioned to a Baptist friend of mine that we initially got Sabbath keeping information from a Seventh-day Baptist - Rachael Oaks. In fact this was a Sunday keeping Adventist church before that time. The response from this particular Baptist was that the Seventh-day Baptists are insignificant - only about 50,000 and that the Southern Baptists are 16,000,000 so the Seventh-day Baptists are considered almost a cult by some IFB fellow baptists. (Independent Fundamentalist Baptist - IFB). I then pointed out that we are larger than both the Seventh-day Baptists and Southern Baptists combined - (around 18,500,000 by the end of the year) -- and we do not call either the Southern Baptists or the Seventh-day Baptists "insignificant" or "a cult". As I recall Southern Baptists were at one time around 20,000,000. Their numbers appear to be falling. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.

Windsor Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 How can the Jesuits not worry about members leaving the Roman Catholic church? What religious organization, SDAs included, don't do what they can to keep members from leaving? How can they not be irked by the one large remaining organization that continues to see Papal Rome as fulfilling prophecy in Daniel and Revelation? Quote Remember Adventists Online?
