Chrys, the relationship between Simon (the doctor) and Kaylee (the mechanic) had a long and (in typical romance style) frustrating and varied history in the series, which made it actually really poignant in Serenity, but I can see how it would seem abrupt just seeing the movie. I loved the series Firefly and I loved the movie. Yes it was all new footage in this movie but it still followed the basic plot of the series. It tied up a lot of loose ends that the series opened up but never closed. I liked Serenity a lot. Quote Riverside CA
