It was January 1, 2014, and there I was, sitting next to a beagle named Buddy, and Woody -- and he says, "What shall we do to make today memorable?" I said, "It's 2014, that's memorable enough for me." An hour or so later, he says, "How about we go for a drive?" So we went for this drive, decided to have lunch. I waited in the car while he went in to check things out, but thought nothing of it. Went in, a nice place, ordered lunch. It eventually came. I noticed sweat was running down Woody's face, but thought nothing of it. The lunch was delivered by a quite a procession of waitresses wearing matching T-shirts, but I thought nothing of it, though was just about to comment, when instead of setting the food on the table, they stood in a row in front of me with expectant looks on their faces. I looked at their shirts for the first time and read, left to right, "Y R R A M." I really didn't know what it was supposed to say. I looked at Woody, who had gotten down on one knee and popped open his shirt, and underneath another matching shirt read "ME." About this time I thought I'd better stop thinking nothing of whatever I'd been thinking nothing of. I read the shirts again and realized the girls had lined up backwards, and they really read "MARRY ME" as in the photo above. Huge surprise! I had no idea this was coming, well I knew it was coming, but not in this way! So I said, "Yes!" And that's the beginning of the story ... LD Quote LD
