Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted April 15, 2014 Members Posted April 15, 2014 Quote: If a particular church decides to have this outside their building,go for it,just don't get on the righteous high horse and imply you care more for the homeless if that's what someone got out of my post, that's *not* what I wrote nor meant. :/ Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

I did not mean you when I said "righteous high horse" The church that placed the sculpture comes across that way, just a little better than those that refused the sculpture. Otherwise the added"churches that refused and calling the cops" were unnecessary. And the question as to how many SDA churches would refuse as if there would be a negative reason that they might. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
LifeHiscost Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Quote: I think it portrays Jesus as friendless (He wasn't), uncared for (He wasn't), and had no means of shelter (also not true) "Then one of the teachers of religious law said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”"Matt 8:19-20 NLT " Then all his disciples deserted him and ran away."Mark 14:50 NLT God cares! Moderators lazarus Posted April 16, 2014 Author Moderators Posted April 16, 2014 let me add.... Isaiah 53:3 New Living Translation He was despised and rejected--a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
LifeHiscost Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Sometimes some of us forget that Jesus is Lord in both old and new testament. "And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ."1 Corinthians 10:2-4 KJV God cares! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
