Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted December 8, 2014 Moderators Posted December 8, 2014 Bert, I will suggest that attorney Wetmore knows more about being a judge than you do. People here are attempting to tell you how you come across and when you respond, you validate what they have said. Here is what you might have said to me which would have placed you in a much better light: "Thank you for attributing youth to me. I was beginning to think that I was reaching old age. But, youth have power and energy. They have a vision for the future and the drive to bring it about. In all probability the blessings of the future will only be achieved by the youth of today. You do me great honor by placing me in this honorable group of people. Thank you very much." Oh, well, the above is just a dream that did not happen. I guess you open your mouth because you like to chew on your foot. Quote Gregory
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 8, 2014 Author Members Posted December 8, 2014 Burt, your condescension of C/A members is ghastly, even more so that it's also directed at admins and mods, whose comments regarding your forum behavior are spot on, imho. It might be wise to pay attention... Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
CoAspen Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 You all have access to the Bible, in different versions. Some regard in high esteem the Testimonies of the Spirit of Prophecy; others dismiss them with disdain. A very broad statement...could you narrow it down? I do not come here to engage some regulars in "intellectual" debates, much less when they lack spiritual discernment. Quote
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted December 9, 2014 Administrators Posted December 9, 2014 .... I do not come here to engage some regulars in "intellectual" debates, much less when they lack spiritual discernment... That really leaves us with the obvious question, " Why then do you come here?" Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
LifeHiscost Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Hmmm... I wonder if Nadab and Abihu had the same idea? 1Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took their respective firepans, and after putting fire in them, placed incense on it and offered strange fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them. 2And fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD.…Lev 10 According to the Word, "which He had not commanded them", I'm wondering if that is possibly true if individuals are not asking at home for God's Spirit to lead them in their efforts, that He might be glorified? Could go either way if we don't recognize Who should be leading out in our Sabbath services. That's one big reason the Ten (allTen) are so important to refresh ourselves with on a regular basis. LifeHiscost Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 ??? What on earth does this have to do with performance of worship music? See Post #44 God is Love! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
CoAspen Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Same question still, without any answer! Why is it those who seem to be the most critical of everything continue to text splatter and never answer a question outright?? One conclusion only can be reached after prolong tempts for an answer...there isn't a one! Attack by innuendo, very un Christ like. Quote

It brings out what's in the heart. …62The high priest stood up and said to Him, "Do You not answer? What is it that these men are testifying against You?" 63But Jesus kept silent.....Matt 26 11So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it....Isaiah 55 God is Love! CoAspen Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 What did Christ say to Satan when misusing scripture? Quote
LifeHiscost Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 What did Christ say to Satan when misusing scripture? One thing He didn't say was "Go see what the brethren say before we can be sure they're following the Word as prompted by the Holy Spirit". 2And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:4And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.5And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:6But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.7And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.8And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.9And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.....Mark 4 15And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16"He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.…Mark 16 God is Love!
