The first sin committed in the Bible?

I seriously doubt Eve really understood what was happening to her during the entire process, as Satan had masterfully disguised and arranged each and every step she took into sin. She could truthfully confess to God she was deceived each step of the way. Note that this did not mitigate her guilt in any form or fashion before God in Genesis 3:16....

 

Adam, on the other hand, walked into sin fully aware of the choice he was making. There was no deception placed before him.

God assembled the angelic host to take measures to avert the threatened evil. It was decided in heaven’s council for angels to visit Eden and warn Adam that he was in danger from the foe. Two angels sped on their way to visit our first parents. The holy pair received them with joyful innocence, expressing their grateful thanks to their Creator for thus surrounding them with such a profusion of His bounty. .....

The angels cautioned Eve not to separate from her husband in her employment, for she might be brought in contact with this fallen foe. If separated from each other they would be in greater danger than if both were together. The angels charged them to closely follow the instructions God had given them in reference to the tree of knowledge, for in perfect obedience they were safe, and this fallen foe could then have no power to deceive them. God would not permit Satan to follow the holy pair with continual temptations. He could have access to them only at the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Could it be their first sin was separating from each other?

By separating, they were no longer in perfect obedience.

If they had not separated, according to this text they would have been safe. Satan would have had no power to deceive them.

According to Morris Vendon, on that video linked earlier, Satan's first sin, was separating from God. Deciding to go on alone.

It looks like Eve followed in his footsteps. That's where the sin came.

Now in the Bible, it does not say that they were advised not to separate. However,  it's reasonable for us to assume, that Eve felt comfortable enough to separate, and therein was the sin. God created her from his flesh. There was no reason at that time for them to ever separate.  While never documented,   Adams role in allowing the separation makes him culpable.

I would say the second sin was going to the place of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When we put ourselves in a position to sin, we separate from God. So that in and of itself is a sin.
