We do not need a priest to represent us before God.  According to Heb 10:19,

 

"we (i.e., we believers) have confidence to enter the most holy place (where God resides) by the blood of Jesus (His life laid down in  death), by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh..."

 

In other words "in Christ" we can boldly before God the Father in the most holy.  That is why Jesus said, "no one comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6

 

Now, what does the writer of Hebrews mean by "His flesh"?  I'll tell you this much, it has everything to do with the everlasting gospel (see Rev 14:6).

This would be a good topic to take up in another thread. I have found that individuals who feel they have the right to force others to their personal ideas under threat of some sort of punishment, when taken to an unreasonable extent are in danger of following the pattern of individuals like Idi Amin, Pol Pot, and others too numerous to count.

There is a basic problem here that I think we can direct without the premise of 'slamming' a denomination. One of my favorite Christian movies of all time is Peter and Paul, which I recently just watched again. It really is based on the primacy of Peter and the fradulant tretist of the "Donation of Constantine" which I refer to in my posting today.

For me, it is either Scripture or something added or taken away from the God breathed Word. Remembering that millions have died to preserve that foundation, thus it should not be queried to ask if that is part or not of that foundation.

I sincerely hope and pray that you read my posted, heavily documented contribution.
