LifeHiscost Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 All denominations teach a hybrid of the Papal's gospel of "the immaculate conception". It is even taught among SDA. I'd like to read/see/hear the evidence of that if there is any. God is Love! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

Robert Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." 2 John 2:17 You see the true gospel satisfies the holy demands of God's law in the person of Jesus Christ both as the Son of God and the Son of man. If the gospel does away with God's law or mocks it, then that gospel is false - it's what Paul terms "another gospel!" Quote

Nic Samojluk Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 So it is possible to be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church and be part of Babylon. Where there is self, you belong to Babylon. So please don’t say that I am an Adventist and out of Babylon. ... http://www.jacksequeira.org/3angels3.htm Yes, but there is more. Notice the warning Ellen White gave us when adultery and fornication began to infiltrate the Adventist community: “We must as a people arouse and cleanse the camp of Israel. Licentiousness, unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are coming in among us in a large degree; and ministers who are handling sacred things are guilty of sin in this respect. They are coveting their neighbors' wives, and the seventh commandment is broken. We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted, and filled with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird; and will we be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil?” {21MR 380.1} If the sin of adultery among Adventists prompted her to warn us that we were in danger of becoming “a sister of Babylon,” I wonder what she would say today knowing that thousand of innocent babies were killed in the medical institutions she help found. LifeHiscost Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 All this book shows is that the SDA church is not united on the gospel. There's only one gospel, not five as the book points out. I'm of the opinion that's the reason each member of that denomination as well as all of other denominations, need to depend on the righteousness of Christ, a free gift for the asking as the only assurance of salvation, not to mention successful living in this world. If that is not recognized all that we might think we can make of ourselves will eventually be taken from us. 9What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; 10as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; 11THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;…Romans 3 Emphasis theirs' LHC God is Love! I published two books dealing with this topic. Here is a link to one of them: Murder in Paradise Link http://www.lulu.com/shop/nic-samojluk/murder-in-paradise/paperback/product-21623695.html Quote

Robert, I do not know if you were being sarcastic or if you were accurately describing your knowledge. If the later you present yourself as having a such a lack of knowledge as to SDA issues that I would not have believed if I had not heard I from you, yourself. In this case, your throw into doubt most of what you say about the SDA Church. For, if your basic knowledge is lacking on this point, how can one believe you are accurate on other points? Robert Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 The non Adventist churches are fallen because they are ignoring the Fourth Commandment. "Not yet, however, can it be said that “Babylon is fallen, ... because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Protestant churches are included in the second angel's solemn denunciation. But the work of apostasy has not yet reached its height. Before the coming of the Lord, Satan will work “with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception”; and they that “did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved” will be left to receive “strong delusion, that they should believe the lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-11). Not until the church fully unites with the world will the fall of Babylon be complete. The change is progressive, and the ultimate fulfillment of Revelation 14:8 is still future." Robert Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 What is worse in God’s eyes: worshiping the Lord on the wrong day or killing innocent unborn babies for the sake of profit? Personally, I do not see the Sabbath as a day of worship. Yes, in heaven all will worship before God in the earth made new, but to in my understanding the Sabbath is a redemptive sign linked to the everlasting gospel. The Sabbath will become a sign of righteousness by faith and the mark of the Papal power will become a mark of righteousness by works. That being said right now I would view the killing of the unborn as a greater sin. Quote
Robert Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 The Sabbath will become a sign of righteousness by faith and the mark of the Papal power will become a mark of righteousness by works. "Sunday keeping is not yet the mark of the beast, and will not be until the decree goes forth causing men to worship this idol Sabbath. The time will come when this day will be the test, but that time has not come yet. No one has yet received the mark of the beast. The testing time has not yet come." Ellen White makes this connection too: "As the Jews departed from God, and failed to make the righteousness of Christ their own by faith, the Sabbath lost its significance to them."
