^ Definitely deaf: I love my music, and even more the music of my beloved's voice, but I *really* couldn't live without books and computers. I read 2 books a week on average - I'd starve to death if I went blind.

< Listening to a new Swedish heavy metal band I discovered today - Evergrey. I started out loving their music, and was delighted to discover the Christian lyrics later. I'm also waiting for the 10 o'clock news because my good buddy Lorne got interviewed for the news.

Oops, a double-up! I'll answer both your questions, then try to recombine the streams by only asking one of the next person...

^ What will I do after I leave this forum? I don't think I'll ever leave in any final sense, but after I leave for the night I'll be snuggling up in a warm bed with a warm wife: yay!

^ What's my favourite natural wonder? It'd have to be Wave Rock in Western Australia. It's not so huge or anything, but I have great memories of a trip my girls and I took to see it and play on it just before we left Australia.

< Right now I'm wondering whether there's anything nice in the way of juice in the house to drink. I'll probably have to make it from frozen concentrate.

v Which country would you love to spend a year in if you could?

^I think I would like to spend some time in Italy...They are supposed to have some really good food there....And I would have to get around by foot alot [weight lossing technique!]

^South America? Hmm... Anywhere would be fine, but either on the west coast to see some Andean mummies or down to the jungly parts of Brazil or the northern bits

v What kind of handshakes do you like?

^ I'm really not that fussy about handshakes - limp and moist can be a little off-putting, but I'm definitely not someone who judges the shaker as a wimp if I don't sustain a few broken bones... Mind you, at home and at church we generally hug, so handshakes are more of a rarity in my life.

^ Assuming I ever make it to South America, I would like to visit Peru. Preferably completely off the beaten path. I would also like to visit Macchu Picchu but that is becoming a road more traveled, so I would like to visit the City of The Cloud People. A tall, blond folk who lived even higher in the mountains than the builders of Macchu Picchu.

^ Cell phones make like easier to call....But sometimes I wish for a "cease and disist" order for all technology to be able to get back to listening to nature. And in deference to Clio's request, I have not made any preparations, as I believe prince and princes of the King of the Universe will, while they undergo some hardships, be provided for all thier needs.

^ For Clio's question: I think I've made the only possible preparation: being right with God. No physical preparations will help or be of any value without that, and I believe it will likely come at us at an unexpected time and from an unexpected direction anyway. Plus, my personal 'time of the end' could be at any moment. So preparing the heart is far more important than preparing the body.

^ For Neil's question. I think the play The Syringa Tree has impacted me more than any movie I've seen, certainly any in the last year, which has pretty much been a dismal wasteland of remakes, sequels and garbage.

< Heh, still procrastinating: I need to go get coffee and a bagel before I start work.

^ Probably my most favorite and the one that made the most impact on me was "The Three Musketeers" by Alexandre Dumas. I was only in jr high when I read it and it changed me. I realized there was a whole world out there other than the one I felt revolved around me. And I started taking French. LOL My second fav book was "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch" by Alexander Solzenitzen. The brutal reality of life as a political prisoner in a Russian gulag.

< Just put a vegie lasagna in the oven and am now waiting for the news to come on and tell me if it will snow tomorrow.
