The Shofar represents, I suspect, the sound used for the call to worship or call to feasts in the New Kingdom. The cities of YHVH from space use the horn-like sound to awaken the redeemed from the dead and call them to enter in order to be rescued from a dying Earth. The Shofar on these craft may sound more like train or ship horns blaring away for great distances.
