End of the Spear

I went to go see this movie last Thursday afternoon. Overall, I enjoyed it. I bristled a little at their lack of preparation for the meeting.Only knowing a few phrases in the language, not knowing how to communicate at all. I felt if they had just answered their questions...I don't know, I was squiming in my seat, wanting to make meaningful contact with them (especially since they had a reliable source for the language). :-). I felt the missionaries seemed a little goofy at first. I didn't get a serious feel from them at all. That probably wans't the case in real life, but it felt that way from the movie.

I did really enjoy being able to see a Christian movie in the theater. Even the violence that was necessary to portray the story wasn't gratuitous. I thought that was good. :-)

I have recently heard that Michael W. Smith is going to be in a movie coming out in the next couple months. I know nothing about it, but I am excited to see what it is all about!
