I recall seeing a teenager at a potluck, one of the first in line, who piled his plate high, took a few bites, then threw it all into the trash can. I suppose that's one good way to not feel guilty for overeating. Some adults were not happy with the stupid kid, though.

Better to throw into the trash than to return it to the container in the food line.
