Raging Bull Philadelphia Wall Street Platoon I know its not Raging Bull or Platoon! My pick is Philadelphia? Answer: Wall Street is a 1987 American drama film, directed and co-written by Oliver Stone, which stars Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, Hannah and Martin Sheen. The film tells the story of Bud Fox (Sheen), a young stockbroker who becomes involved with Gordon Gekko (Douglas), a wealthy, unscrupulous corporate raider. Stone made the film as a tribute to his father, Lou Stone, a stockbroker during the Great Depression. Stone met with Tom Cruise about playing Bud Fox, but the director had already committed to Charlie Sheen for the role. Answer: Brown University is a private, Ivy League research university in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 1764 as "The College in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations," Brown is the seventh-oldest institution of higher education in the United States. At its foundation, Brown was the first college in the United States to accept students regardless of their religious affiliation. My class of 62 kids sang "America the Beautiful" on that album (and we still have it somewhere in my house). On the cover, there is a mountain. I'm going to guess it was a visit to Pike's Peak. (Can you believe we actually sang about God in a public school?!) O beautiful for spacious skies,For amber waves of grain,For purple mountain majestiesAbove the fruited plain!America! America!God shed His grace on theeAnd crown thy good with brotherhoodFrom sea to shining sea!O beautiful for pilgrim feet,Whose stern, impassioned stressA thoroughfare for freedom beatAcross the wilderness!America! Answer: Pikes Peak, located in the Rocky Mountains, is one of the most famous summits in the United States. The mountain is named in honor of American explorer Zebulon Pike who was unable to reach the summit. In July 1893, Katharine Lee Bates wrote the song "America the Beautiful", after having admired the view from the top of Pikes Peak. A plaque commemorating the words to the song was placed at the summit. The song is one of the most popular of the many American patriotic songs. Francis Scott Key Thomas Paine Benjamin Franklin Francis Bellamy I picked Ben Answer: The Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy. It was originally published in The Youth's Companion on September 8, 1892. The Pledge was supposed to be quick and to the point. Bellamy designed it to be recited in 15 seconds. In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Bellamy's daughter objected to this alteration. Outta Here 1 Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Columbia Dartmouth Princeton Cornell 20 hours ago, Aubrey said: Battle of Dartmouth sounds plausible. My chose is Cornell Answer: The Battle of Princeton (January 3, 1777) was a pivotal battle in which General George Washington's revolutionary forces defeated British forces near Princeton, New Jersey. The American victory at the Battle of Princeton was one of the most consequential of the American Revolution. George Washington and his soldiers marched north from Trenton and attacked a British force south of the town. Part of the battlefield is now preserved in Princeton Battlefield State Park, which was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961. I chose the Copperhead Answer: Regarded as the fastest snake in the world, the Black Mamba can move at 17.6 feet per second and reach amazing speeds of 12 mph. The Black Mamba is not only the fastest snake in terms of moving, but it is also one of the fastest striking snakes in the world. The Black Mamba is regarded as the most feared snake in Africa, where its bite is known as the “Kiss of death”. A single bite contains enough venom to kill ten people. The Black Mamba’s extraordinary speed, combined with its fast-striking venom, make it one of the world’s most deadly snakes. The view from the insane asylum, post-breakdownAfter his breakdown in which he cut off his own ear, Van Gogh spent some time at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum, where he painted "The Starry Night," a depiction of what he could see from his window - sans bars, of course. Answer: In 1934, the breakfast cereal Wheaties began the practice of including pictures of athletes on its packaging to coincide with its slogan, "The Breakfast of Champions." Lou Gehrig of the New York Yankees was the first athlete to appear on a Wheaties box. Initially, and for nearly the next twenty years, the athletes were depicted on the back of the Wheaties box or on its side panels. Athletes appearing on the front of the Wheaties box would not begin until the 1950s. Gehrig would later make another appearance on a Wheaties box in 1992.
