Buddhism

PHKRAUSE

  the  answer  is  BUDDHISM

dgrimm60

Answer: Buddhism is an Indian religion attributed to the teachings of the Buddha, supposedly born Siddhartha Gautama. Siddhartha Gautama was a monk, philosopher, and religious leader on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. According to the Buddhist sutras, Gautama was moved by the innate suffering of humanity and its endless repetition due to rebirth. He is believed by Buddhists to be an enlightened teacher who attained full Buddhahood. Buddhism is the world's fourth-largest religion with over 520 million followers, or over 7% of the global population, known as Buddhists.

WILLIAM  H  TAFT

Answer: William Howard Taft never really wanted to be President. He preferred law to politics and always aspired to serve on the Supreme Court. But his ambitions wife, who wanted to be first lady, had other ambitions for him. After four uncomfortable years as President, Taft left the White House and fulfilled a lifelong dream when he was appointed chief justice of the Supreme Court, becoming the only person to have served as both a U.S. chief justice and president. As U.S. president, and chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Taft became the only man in history to hold the highest post in both the executive and judicial branches of the U.S. government.

TRUE GRIT

Answer: John Wayne won his first and only acting Academy Award in 1969 for his role in True Grit. He played U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogburn, an eye-patching drunkard and lawman, who helps a young woman named Mattie (Kim Darby) track down her father's killer. A young Glen Campbell joined the pair on their mission. Rounding out the cast, Robert Duvall and Dennis Hopper were among the bad guys the trio had to defeat. Upon accepting his Oscar, John Wayne said, "Wow! If I'd known that, I'd have put that patch on 35 years earlier."

ROMEO

Answer: The code word for "R" is Romeo. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) assigned code words acrophonically to the letters of the English alphabet, so that critical combinations of letters can be pronounced and understood by radio or telephone regardless of language barriers or the quality of the communication channel. The 26 code words in the NATO phonetic alphabet are as follows: Alfa, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India, Juliett, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Papa, Quebec, Romeo, Sierra, Tango, Uniform, Victor, Whiskey, X-ray, Yankee, and Zulu.
