The paint used is made by Duron and named “Whisper White.” The Duron “Whisper White” paint is made in Germany, and is meant to help preserve aging buildings by allowing moisture to escape from underneath while protecting the structure from the elements. In 2019, the entire exterior was given a fresh coat of paint at $150 per gallon, so to freshen the outside of the building cost $85,000, according to the White House Historical Association. Though this word is now usually considered obsolete, overmorrow is the English word for the day after tomorrow. This archaic and now obsolete word appears in the bible and throughout ancient literature. Overmorrow was in Middle English but fell out of the language. So instead of having this word, we have the wordy "day after tomorrow." German still has this very useful word: übermorgen. Since the show's inception, people have noted the similarities between The Flintstones and The Honeymooners. To put it simply, the Flintstones and the Rubbles are the stone-age equivalents of the Kramdens and the Nortons. Jackie Gleason even considered suing Hanna and Barbera for ripping off his show, but ultimately decided he did not want to go down in history as "the guy who yanked Fred Flintstone off the air". Ferrule Tipper Fibber Collywobble Ferrule 16 hours ago, dgrimm60 said: FERRULE Answer: The ferrule is a vital component of a modern pencil. The ferrule is the metal band that attaches the pencil body with its eraser. It was originally made with brass which had the appropriate strength to hold the pencil with its eraser. Metal shortages during World War II, saw ferrules made from plastic and cardboard. It wasn't until 1964, that J.B. Ostrowski patented the aluminum ferrule. He designed it to have two horizontal bands and lots of vertical ridges to keep the soft aluminum from disfiguring. His exact ferrule design is still used today. Samuel Stanley Sinclair Nothing Nothing PHKRAUSE the answer is NOTHING dgrimm60 Answer: The "S" is not an abbreviation. Truman was given a middle initial, but not a middle name. Truman's parents chose "S" as his middle name to please both of his grandfathers, a common practice among the Scots-Irish. The "S" in Harry S. Truman refers to the names of both of his grandfathers, Anderson Shipp Truman and Solomon Young. In 1962, Truman told reporters that they should not use a period after the S, because it didn't stand for anything. He may have been joking; he himself often wrote his middle initial followed by a period. At any rate, the ruling of most style manuals is to include the period.
