Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted January 14, 2019 Moderators Posted January 14, 2019 The following should inspire some pointed comments: https://atoday.org/the-other-side-of-humble/ Quote Gregory
B/W Photodude Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 The article was interesting to a point. People confuse words like meek and humble with words like docile and weak. Unfortunately, even all the modern translations of the Bible do not get it. They were supposed to be helping people to understand better than the KJV!. However, the article lost it when it tried to tie Moses into accepting of the LGBT$%# community into the church. Moses did stand back and watch while one of the priests took a spear and impaled two people and tacked them right to the ground and that was a heterosexual misadventure. I suspect that if two people were found to have been engaging in homosexual immorality that they would have been taken out and stoned to death. I am finding it amazing how many articles on Spectrum and atoday end up with a pitch for gay acceptance as regular members. This is not going to end well. THATS a non-issue for me, as far as the article we are considering here goes. Well, stay tuned, as I have some material that directly "ties the knots" on these issues. It is not about being accepting or not towards gay people. It is the idea the church should change and accept gay people into full membership and even into leadership. The very argument that that is the way they are so we need to accept them for that way. Well, we are all sinners by nature, however repentance is a requirement. If you really get down to it, no sins should prevent one from membership in the church because that is the way we are! Oh, my bad! I referred to something known as sin.
