It's one way of getting past the 'her jobs/his jobs' stuff when we both work - and we earn enough that it's definitely worthwhile to pay someone to clean so we can spend our non-work time together and with the kids. Incidentally, we try very hard to treat our cleaners well and pay them above market rates. The person below me doesn't like housework much in general, but has one particular job s/he really enjoys. Yeah, Sue made me a brown kaftan-style robe for a role in a play as Joseph (it was belted at the waist for the play), and I found it so comfortable that I do sometimes wear it around the house. My son is in Walla Walla, my eldest daughter is in Australia, and my middle daughter is in Nebraska, my wife in one part of Oregon and I am in another part....[sigh] ...Not as close in proximity as I would like.
