Stinsonmarri:  Your responses to Bonnie present you as being very judgmental.  In addition you seem to fail to understand what she has actually said.  Furthermore, your multiple references to the Bible  often present you as failing to understand what the Bible actually says.

It is no wonder that you fail to convince people of the truth in what you say.  Truth is often missing from your posts.

In a post about Christmas trees and the "debates [that] will arise within Adventism", it's really ventured off to some other realm. As an outsider looking in, I see at least 3 players in the game of bantering and bickering. Some of it sexist, some of it racist, some of it ageist: all of it unnecessary.

It is unfortunate that racism and sexism have been introduced into "Christmas Trees" If someone is determined to ride their favorite hobby horse of sexism and racism, without fail they can find it.

It may be unnecessary as you say but it probably was unnecessary as well to try to ignite this topic again claiming racism or sexism

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

Racism and sexism are words that have been used, abused and abused again so the words themselves have little meaning or impact. For many actual acts of either are harder and harder to take seriously. It is so tiresome to be accused on the slightest whim.

Indeed. These words have been beaten into the ground until they are meaningless except to push someone's agenda.

In the early days of Usenet, and other discussion groups, people would come claiming that some act what equivalent to the Nazis or Hitler. In Usenet land it became the sign that the discussion was over. The person making the claim simply had no more reasonable ideas or arguments to use.

I found it strange when one person drug up the Hitler comparison to attempt the trashing of the GCPresident Wilson. This person, in my book, has no more credibility left and I no longer read his books.

It was such a out of left field post. The poster had to have been searching diligently for racism and sexism in that thread

When these anonymous people are mentioned in a post it is about as credible as a anonymous complaint. If it was important enough to point fingers at "three players" it should have been important enough to point out the racism/sexism. Or "didn't mention anyone's name . Have enough conviction to say what you mean directly to the person you are not so subtly directing it at.
