Conflict Of The Ages Based - New Movie

Recommended Posts

Hi every one. I just thought I would see if I can get some feedback on a new movie we are working on. The movie is based on Ellen Whites Conflict Of Ages series and will be an overview of the plan of redemption. The title is The Story Of Redemption. You can watch a teaser and see production art at http://www.thestoryofredemption.com.

Please take a look and let us know what you think. We welcome any and all feedback.

Attempted to access the video clip and got a trojan for the trouble. Better check your site.

The site is basic html and the video is served directly from youtube.com. If you tell me exactly what the message it gave you was it would help me track down what was going on. It could be that the pulling the video from youtube gave the warning.

Also please if any one else has any problems please let me know.

My virus protection took care of the trojan so I don't have that data. I then ran a whole system scan again just to be sure. Then went back to your site and no problems so far.

First, the teaser clip is really good. I have always loved those pics the Hubble captured. Though it was hard for me to really see the scrolling text clearly. That may be resolved on a larger screen. Is the whole movie going to be the same format of music, pictures and scrolling text? If so, It will put me to sleep. No offense but classical music just does that to me.LOL

Second, the web site. Spelling, punctuation and grammar are paramount to selling an idea or product.

I think you ment "fast paced". Another set of eyes reading the text can be extremely helpful in proofing text that you have already read through and typed a zillion times.

But those are JMHOs. I am not a professional critic, I just play one on this forum.

I love the concept and it would be great in HDTV.

Agreed. I think it needs a narator with a deep and distinguished voice to read the text on screen. That would be much more moving. If later portions of the movie have dialouge between characters than each should have its own voice.

Thanks to both of you for the feedback.

I should have mentioned this before and I plan on adding part of it to the website. The film is going to be narrated. I have already found an award wining voice over artist for the project. Hopefully I will get some samples up of his work. So dont worry about the rolling text it will be going away.:)

Also some characters will probobly have lines in the movie but I am limited some what in that I do not want to just make up dialoge for say Satan or Christ etc. I would rather use words from the Bible or Ellen White. So this will limit me somewhat.

Amelia Thanks for looking over the site again. I will make sure to have someone check over the spelling again and work on it when I am not half asleep also:)

Not going to act it out? (*is disappointed*)

I could give you dialogue for Satan, easily. Very easily.

Too easily.

Well its not that dialogue could not be written for Satan or Christ or any one for that matter. But the thing is I am more worried about about presenting the inspired words of the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. After doing some tests I believe it can be made to flow and have pace and all of the things you need to make a movie work.

Also if any one is interested you can hear a little from the person that looks like they will be the one doing the voice over. At least at the moment. http://jimwest.voice123.com/

Any way keep the feedback coming. All of it is helpfull.

Great glad you like it. After listening to hundreds of them his really stood out. Most of them tend to sound like used car dealers:)

Yeah, that guy has a great narration voice. I felt the fist part of his demo was closest to the type of music/voice combo on your teaser clip. One thing I would suggest; don't let the music overwhealm the narration. Some of us with concert deafness have a hard time hearing spoken words with music in crescendo.

Amelia glad you like him also. I also liked the first part the best:) The plan his to have some tests shots done with narration so we can make sure it works for every one. So I will try and remember to let you guys know when we get one done.

Sulla I could sooooo write you dialogue for Satan. I know exactly what happened. The WHOLE story ... not just what EGW wrote but there's more to it than that.

Well I apreciat the offer but really have been praying about how to do it a lot. And dont want to do it in that way. Will be more like someone telling a story.
