My advice to any newbie on CA is:

1. At the beginning, post hard and often.

2. Take no prisoners

3. Beware of people with more than 9,200 posts. Even Stan doesn't have that many!

4. The topic in question has proabably been discussed about 100 times before so "old timers" will seem informed and even sensible. Wouldn't you look good if you've discussed a topic 100 times.

Just a quick word about the above advice. It was mostly an attempt at humour. You high posters please don't be offended. The 9,200 was an arbitary figure, mostly aimed at Neil D who is 9,293. I thinks he gets my humour!

I appeciate your dedication and you ability to have something to say on such a wide range of topics.

So when are you gonna become the plague of C/A with your wit and wisdom and finally come up to the number of posts with those 'in the know'? [This from my self depreciating posts on Club Adventist last year, if any of you remember...]

And Neil is attempting to over take Gail in the post department......Gotta have goals in life...

I thought, some time ago, of starting a thread that asked the question How do I become I high poster? I can't understand for the life of me how y'all find the time to post so often.

I guess one of the disadvatages I have is that I believe in quality posting? gigglefro3

Is there such a thing as a software that posts for you? You key in your general responses on key issues and it automatically responds, you can even set the amount of posts per hour, day. Maybe you could set the type of posts, smart, dumb, witty, mean, bizzare, spiritual etc.

hmmm

You're right....that's getting a bit bizzare....

Kinda usefull though, as there are some people here you can predict what they are gonna say, and all you have to do would be to engage the program and it can ramp up the intensity of the posts per preset requests...But at what point do you dis-engage from the discussion before the board/server melts?!?!?!scared

I think that Stan would prolly outlaw this sort of.....spam....Especially since he just changed boards and got a new server....

Or something along those lines...

In the past we have had various word games, requiring very little than a single word response. They were great for raising the number of posts.

NB the submissions of Amelia and others have been much more substantive than that :)

Inconsiderate, cold, cruel remarks often set off a chain reaction. In the end no one "wins" and usually no one turly "forgets".

So very true....

Thoughts are things. Words indicate the thoughts of the person speaking or writing, that's why it's so difficult to truly forget.
