Woody Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Mine is 864 Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Administrators Gail Posted March 1, 2007 Administrators Posted March 1, 2007 My first response to the question was, "Just spam it." I would think that anyone over 1000 posts has become endeared to the family by that time Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted March 1, 2007 Administrators Posted March 1, 2007 The problem with you, Laz, is that you ask the intriguing questions (as does Pam) that get everyone ELSE going! So we are indebted to you, my friend! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Neil D Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Do you want to know how old I am or how old I feel? How long you been on the board? And while we are at it, just how old are you? And do you feel that age? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Moderators lazarus Posted March 2, 2007 Author Moderators Posted March 2, 2007 The problem with you, Laz, is that you ask the intriguing questions (as does Pam) that get everyone ELSE going! So we are indebted to you, my friend! Happy to oblige. But I'm starting to think I need to devote my day off to posting to have any chance of reaching 1000. I think its now becoming a personal obsession. I feel I have to get into four figures to have any real credibilty with the heavy hitters! Its like the difference between pulling up to a traffic light in an Audi A8 or pulling up in a Toyota Carrola (no offence to Carrola drivers). Quote: I would think that anyone over 1000 posts has become endeared to the family by that time. hmmmmm! :duno Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
Administrators Gail Posted March 2, 2007 Administrators Posted March 2, 2007 It's not like you have to become obsessed. Some people say a lot with very few words, while others... LOL Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Moderators Nan Posted March 2, 2007 Moderators Posted March 2, 2007 Just start a few more word games..... Quote
Woody Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Today ... after nearly 3 months I have finally hit 1,000 . I am a little discouraged. At this rate it will take me nearly 3 1/2 years to reach the level of Amelia. I had thought I was doing OK but when I put it in perspective ... I realize that I need to do much better if I am going to be among the elite. I may have to just settle for reaching to the level of Shane. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Moderators Nan Posted March 7, 2007 Moderators Posted March 7, 2007 well at that rate you will hit 4000 after a year - it took me 6 and a half years to get to 5000 so you are not doing so badly! As I said, use the word games :) Quote
Amelia Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Quote: At this rate it will take me nearly 3 1/2 years to reach the level of Amelia. Hey Red, look how long I've been a member - Jul 30 2001. Bravus can correct my math but I think that averages out to something like 6 posts a day. Quote <p><span style="color:#0000FF;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-style:italic;">"Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you."</span></span> Eph 4:29</span><br><br><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetemp_both/US/OR/Fairview.gif" alt="Fairview.gif"> Fairview Or</p>
Moderators Bravus Posted March 8, 2007 Moderators Posted March 8, 2007 So Redwood's 1000 posts in 90 days is about 11 a day, and Amelia's 14000 in 2190 days is (yep!) about 6 a day. So it then becomes all about time... Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted March 8, 2007 Moderators Posted March 8, 2007 ...and of course, never saying in one post what can be said in two! (Actually, this time I did it to check my own post count and dates.) My 4200 posts in about 1000 days boils down to 4.2 posts a day, so even with word games and debates I'm a relative laggard. Quote Truth is important
Woody Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hey ... Thanks for all the suggestions. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 But ... I will still need some of the elite posters ... to slow down a bit so I can catch up. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Here's to catching up. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I have lowered my expectations now and I am just going to aspire to replace Nan on the honor roll. I'm inspired to aspire this goal. I could do that in about a year. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
ChildofChrist Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 I've been a member longer but due to traveling, and now being a full time, unpaid care-giver for my sister, her daughter and grand-daughter, I've slowed down a tad. Why...I've gone weeks and perhaps even months without posting. But some of my best friends no longer post. Their own lives have gotten too hectic. Shalom on this Sabbath!!
