    Warning: Very Bad Pun Inside

A pastor who was badly overworked went to the local medical center and was able to have a clone made. The clone was like the pastor in every respect--except that the clone used extraordinarily foul language. The cloned pastor was exceptionally gifted in many other areas of pastoral work, but finally the complaints about the dirty language were too much. The pastor was not too sure how to get rid of the clone so that it wouldn't look like murder. The best thing, he decided, was to make the clone's death look like an accident. So the pastor lured the clone onto a bridge in the middle of the night and pushed the clone off the bridge. Unfortunately there was a police officer who happened by at that very moment and arrested the pastor for making an obscene clone fall.

For those who do not drink Alcohol.

Occasionally I buy one beer. I drink less than half of it then pour the rest down the toilet. I do this once every 18 months or so. Alcohol doesn't make sense to me. It is like society can't live with it, and they can't live without it. Society says you must go out and have a drink, or two. It is like you're not supposed to have fun without drinking alcohol. They build the bars in convenient locations where you can easily drive to. Then when you leave the police catch you, or you have a terrible accident and kill someone Then they label you an alcoholic misfit. Weird.

    Student Power

Yeah, I'm not going to say that those teachers aren't out there, but I haven't met them. I had a number of professors in college that I disagreed with on a variety of issues. I had a philosophy professor that was the quintessential liberal hippie, and he gave me a 195/200 (by FAR the highest grade in the class) on my final essay, one in which I defended a fairly conservative Christian viewpoint. I also saw a variety of students thoughtlessly regurgitate garbage in a manner illustrating that they hadn't engaged with the class at all, and then complain about the bias of the professor when they were graded poorly. So that's why I'd like to see Joeb's papers, because given my interactions with him in the past I'm pretty sure he falls into the latter category. But I could be wrong, only one way to find out.

    please watch what you write..

The point I'm *trying* to make is that it's not a good thing to publicly post comments regarding the problems or issues of anyone else, including family members, unless the person involved has given consent. Not only are such statements a violation of privacy, but also a violation of boundaries.... and to publicly post such comments may get a person in a whole peck of trouble, relationally as well as legally.

    Student Power

Never have seen a teacher teach that the country was 'evil'....I have been in classes where the country did some wrong things, and took up some wrong policies. I've seen teachers teach courses that if certain principles were adopted, that the country would have been better...I've seen tradition and new ideals clash.....I've even seen students totally miss the goal of the class and misread the objective of the class....But if a student were to put in the work, I've never seen a student flunk out, especially when that student is putting in the effort...and complain to the principle/someone in administration that showed the student was putting in effort and not come out with a C- grade..... All I can say is that your experience sets a new bar......

    Presidential candidates

I, personally, though I suggested it, do not think that either Palin or Carson would have much of a chance at winning. Though I like Carson and believe that he is a clear thinker, I do not believe that a Seventh-day Adventist would be able to make that adjustments and compromises necessary on a daily basis that would be contrary to his faith. Yes, I know all about Joseph, and Daniel. THEY had ABSOLUTE Power. The President of the US does NOT have absolute power. A Seventh-day Adventist would not be able to separate his religious beliefs from his secular duties. Absolutely no cabinet meetings nor emergency meeting because it's the Sabbath??? I don't think so..... Should he become president I think that the church would be in for a 'wild ride' ......Maybe we should head for the mountains right now!!!! Nuff Sed

    America with No Christians

As I read the different posts and the different ideas posted here I wondered how could anyone deny that Christianity made America a better place to live. That's like denying Christ's sacrifice has made this world a better place to live, or that God's influence on the world has not held back the tide of evil to a great degree. I sometimes wonder just who many of the people who post here are, and what their agendas are.
