When can we get a "don't like" or "thumbs down" button? Why is it that when people cannot respond effectively to an issue that they devolve into personal insults and character assassination?

When I think about November 11, I think about Newfoundland, I am not sure any Country paid a higher price then she did. Almost every household or family lost at least one person. It was such a tragedy that Newfoundland was exempt from conscription in WW2. Yet many stood tall and enrolled. Long live Newfoundland and all her sons and daughters.

I'd say that one should treat children as potential adults... and not as animals you speak to through verbal commands, incentives and beating. Those are the easiest ways to instill certain behavior, but such behavior becomes "animal-like", because it was instilled on the level of Pavlovian response. If you want your children to do things for the right reasons, and not merely react to any given situation... there should be more time spent explaining, and in a way they can understand. There's a great deal of evidence that things like spousal abuse grow out of the environment where physical punishment is a proper response to "fixing unwanted behavior". Not entirely, but it does play a role in forming abusive mentality of a bully.

Unlike older members, these young people are mostly still at a stage that they trusting take anything that comes from a pulpit, especially whatever agrees with them, as being surely the Gospel Truth. (And the compounding fact, from my perspective/analysis, actually is that there, as patent before, literally was not a single substantive true and/or exegetically valid statement claim in that talk by Henderson...yet he just keeps on building on that “foundation of sand” and no one in the Church(‘s leadership) care to hold him to account...except, as typical, of course for those who became concerned about losing money from threatened future non-enrolment, i.e. the PUC’s Legal Counsel) Moreover this young adult generation is statistically right a pivotal age demography in regards to continued membership in the Church. So they thus can be more ready to emotionally accept, and hang on, to such ‘agreeing claims, even if they are not Biblical so (cf. Acts 17:11), and then remain on as the shaping next generation. So they of all SDA “soils”/generations should be protected against such unbiblical seeding which will indeed later bring forth spurious, and detrimental, fruiting in the Church....It is all consequentially related...

Part of the fallacy of the headship heresy is that it s about authority, and rulership. The idea of the head/body metaphor makes it more about unity and oneness. One cannot exist/survive without the other.

Wow Jackson, Are you meeting this standard? I'm not. If you are, you're the first human outside of Jesus that (to my knowlwdge) has ever met this standard. Does that mean I'm gonna burn? How good must I be to be good enough? Just in case Jesus comes this afternoon, I'd better get my act together. And I thought I was saved by Jesus' grace; and that His grace was sufficient - shows what I know. I read that somewhere; (Eph. 2:1-10; 2Corinthians 12:9 for example) but Mrs. White didn't write that - it was some renegade Gentile-lover named Paul. I wonder whose writings I should go with?
