Has Adventists' prophetic understanding lost it way?

hch says, "is it not astounding that God's people manifest such an indifference to learning and proclaiming the facts about endtime events that will impact their eternal destiny?" So many churches these days preach only the grace, love, and prosperity message - which is good - but they neglect the "military" intelligence God gives us about the end-times because it is unpleasant or scary. We need balance in our message. Yes; we need to know of the love and grace of Jesus; but we also need to know prophecy and be able to read the signs of the times and respond accordingly. By melding the two sides of the message, we will know what is going on in the spiritual realm; and have confidence that the grace and love of God will see us through the adverse physical ramification of war in the spirit realm.

    For Neil...

Gail, please tell Neil I'm praying for him. I don't "do" Facebook, so I hadn't heard about his illness. Liver cancer is a terrible thing. Hopefully the doctors will be able to treat it so as to give him back his health. Don't despair, Neil. God is with you. We all are facing Christ's return, when all sickness will be abolished forever. It won't be long now.

    Sabbath Sermon: Adam and Steve

Fellowship. Friendship. Affirm me when I'm doing right. Correct me when I'm doing wrong. Help me when I'm in need. Sympathize with me when I'm grieving. Rejoice with me when I have something to rejoice about. Be my family.
