    Cast Out Of Heaven

The following quote from the book, Great Controversy, applies to the future, but could the principle be applied to the past as well? To Lucifer and his angels? "A life of rebellion against God has unfitted them for heaven. Its purity, holiness, and peace would be torture to them; the glory of God would be a consuming fire. They would long to flee from that holy place. They would welcome destruction, that they might be hidden from the face of Him who died to redeem them. The destiny of the wicked is fixed by their own choice. Their exclusion from heaven is voluntary with themselves, and just and merciful on the part of God." (GC p.542.) Is it possible that this represents the 'mechanics' of how the Devil was "cast out" of heaven? Is God's mode of warfare so much higher than man's way, so as to make it almost unrecognisable as "war"? We naturally associate "war" with force and aggression, but is that God's way too? Heaven's "purity, holiness, and peace would be [AND FINALLY WAS] torture to them. The glory of God would be [AND WAS] a consuming fire. They would long to flee [AND DID FLEE] from that holy place."

    Biblical Research Methods

Vyhmeister, Nancy J. & Robertson, Terry D. Your Guide to writing Quality Research Papers for Students of Religion & Theology, 3rd Edition. Zondervan, 2014, 290 pages. Among the people who post in Club Adventist are those whom I believe deliver quality posts on religious & theological issues. Some of them, I believe could benefit from some help in researching their subject matter and in presenting their subject to others who may be interested and informed in areas of religion and theology. The above book, I believe, will be helpful to such persons. It can be purchased and delivered to your home for less than $15. NOTE: As this book has been published in multiple editions in both English and in Spanish, be certain to purchase the 2014 3rd edition. The first publication was in Spanish in 1980 and the first English edition was published in 1989. The following is a partial listing of the contents: What is research? Biblical exegesis & interpretation. Literary research. Descriptive research. Program development as research. The case study as research. Action research. Writing for publication. Cast Out Of Heaven

The story in the Book of Job tells of Satan making an appearance in the Heavenly Court as the representative of Earth. He claimed Earth as his kingdom. This seems to have happened long AFTER the creation of mankind.

    An end to sacrifices

Jackson, I seem to remember an EGW statement that "old Jerusalem" would never be rebuilt or restored, or something to that effect. I wonder what it would do to folks who take her word as infallible if another Temple is built on the Mount at Jerusalem before the return of Christ. I know that you do NOT believe that will happen. I DO. I believe Satan will orchestrate a great deception. He cannot counterfeit the actual glorious return, but He can appear in a rebuilt Temple, claiming to be Messiah come. And - of course - I believe that AFTER the return of Christ, and FOLLOWING the desolation of the 7th millennium, HIS throne WILL BE set up on that place. While I believe that the law commanding the sacrifice of animals is now "annulled", I do NOT believe that the LORD has completely "cut off" the "House of Israel". He never will ! Sinners in Zion have been and will yet be "cut off" from her, yet Zion will remain. We are dispersed among the nations just now. But one day we WILL be "returned to the land". The LORD's throne will one day be set on the very spot occupied by the Most Holy Place. The very spot where the ARK was placed. 1 Kings 9:3 [LORD speaking to Solomon after the dedication of the Temple.] And the LORD said to him: "I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built to put My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. I personally believe that the ARK is hidden in a cave under the Mount. So the LORD's eyes and heart are difinitely watching there. BETWEEN THE CHERUBIM Psalm 2 looks future - to Christ's enthronement. He is God's "King". Psalm 2:6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” (NKJ) The coming “greater” One will merge God’s throne with His own, for He will be Immanuel, Mighty God. Psalm 24:3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? - to RULE? That's the question. Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Psalm 24:10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah The “King of Gory” will ascend the hill of the LORD and stand in His Holy place. He will be a priest AND a King. Zechariah 6:13 “Yes, He shall build the temple of the LORD. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.” This verse has a real Temple, and a real "throne". Where do you THINK it will sit ??? The Son of David will bring “the Law” to Jerusalem - just as David brought the Ark with dancing. We CANNOT discount these prophecies. We can't set them aside and say that Jerusalem has nothing to do with Christians today. The LORD chose that place. He has never un-chosen it. Just as He has never removed the sacredness of the Sabbath. A Temple of Satan sits presently on the LORD's holy ground. Just as Satan has dominion of earth just now. But it belongs to the LORD. The LORD will take back His earth, and He will take back His place - His hallowed ground - Jerusalem and the Mount. The crusades were misguided. The LORD Himself must take back His ground. Not men! Present day Israel is fighting their way into the promised land. But the LORD promised to go before them, to drive out the Canaanites. They still have not listened.
