Report: Obama Threatened to Shoot Down IAF Iran Strike

Report: Obama Threatened to Shoot Down IAF Iran Strike Kuwaiti paper claims unnamed Israeli minister with good ties with the US administration 'revealed the attack plan to John Kerry.' By Mark Langfan First Publish: 3/1/2015, 4:18 PM QUICK WATCH1:12 The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening toshoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran. Following Obama's threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack. According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel's back. The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of StateJohn Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran. Al-Jarida quoted "well-placed" sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders. According to the report, “Netanyahu and his commanders agreed after four nights of deliberations to task the Israeli army's chief of staff, Benny Gantz, to prepare a qualitative operation against Iran's nuclear program. In addition, Netanyahu and his ministers decided to do whatever they could do to thwart a possible agreement between Iran and the White House because such an agreement is, allegedly, a threat to Israel's security.” The sources added that Gantz and his commanders prepared the requested plan and that Israeli fighter jets trained for several weeks in order to make sure the plans would work successfully. Israeli fighter jets reportedly even carried out experimental flights in Iran's airspace after they managed to break through radars. Brzezinski's idea Former US diplomat Zbigniew Brzezinski, who enthusiastically campaigned for Obama in 2008, called on him to shoot down Israeli planes if they attack Iran. “They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?” said the former national security advisor to formerPresident Jimmy Carter in an interview with the Daily Beast. “We have to be serious about denying them that right,” he said. “If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a 'Liberty' in reverse.’" Israel mistakenly attacked the American Liberty ship during the Six-Day War in 1967. Brzezinski was a top candidate to become an official advisor to President Obama, but he was downgraded after Republican and pro-Israel Democratic charges during the campaign that Brzezinski’s anti-Israel attitude would damage Obama at the polls.

in preparation for joining a denomination

What exactly should people know about a denomination before they join? Should they know the general history of the church, as well as the beliefs? In talking with some people who have been members of the Adventist church for 50+ years, I found that they have absolutely no clue about the history of the denomination. I found that to be incredibly naive. When I asked why they joined the SDA church, the answer was that they had determined that Saturday was the Sabbath. When I asked if they had looked at other Sabbath-keeping denominations to compare the beliefs, they said they didn't do that. Does this sound odd to anyone else?

    Another Isis strategy please

Is there a conservative on this board that is willing and able to outline a strategy for dealing with Isis that is significantly different from the current administration's strategy? It can take the form of several bullet points to keep it simple.

    Peace

Tell me something that you know about peace. If it is from the Bible, that's even better. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." Matt. 5:9, KJV

    Valley Grande Academy Closing

The school currently has 170 students and recruitment shows that it was to have more in the coming year. My children have attended the school since first grade. The academy is on the east side of Hidalgo county in south Texas. There is another Adventist academy on the west side of the same county. An Adventist elementary school just closed down in the neighboring county to the east. It was was15 miles east of Valley Grande Academy and they were already making plans - before today's news - to open it again next year. Please pray for this school. There is no reason an Adventist school with 170 students should be closing.

Are Michael and Jesus one and the same? The answer is, no.

With the caveat that Wikipedia is a group project, this is said of archangels: The word archangel is derived from the Greek ἀρχάγγελος (arch + angel, literally chief angel) The Protestant Bible provides names for two angels: "Michael the archangel" and the angel Gabriel, who is called "the man Gabriel" in Daniel 9:21 . Protestants who reject the apocrypha view Michael as the sole archangel, since he is the only one explicitly described as such in the Bible in Jude 1:9. Gabriel is never called an archangel in the Bible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archangel And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Daniel 12:1 No angel were ever called the Great Prince except Michael. And no one ever stood for the people but Jesus. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Jude v. 9 In Jude, Michael in contending with the devil stated, "The Lord rebuke thee." Was this Michael referring to himself in the third person or someone else in the second person? In Judaism prior to the First Advent, Michael the Archangel was thought of as divine. And as such, his name was not spoken. This is still the practice in Judaism when it comes to divine names. You will never hear an Orthodox Jew speak the name of יהוה. I have never heard it in any tradition of Judaism. In fact, your Bible will often not even write it, but will use the word Lord instead. Read carefully and you will note that there are two forms of the word Lord used in the Bible. One is regular and the other has all caps. Other times, יהוה will be changed to HaShem (or The Name) such as in the Siddur (Prayer Book). As mentioned, Michael was considered divine, and as a result, his name was not spoken either. He was simply referred to as "the Word." You can see this in the first chapter of John v. 1-3 when it stated: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
