24 Cheshvan Yahrtzeit of Baron Edmond de Rothschild (1845-1934). A member of the Rothschild banking dynasty, he preferred to pursue artistic interests, acquiring an important collection of drawings and engravings that he bequeathed to the Louvre. In 1882, Rothschild became a leading proponent of the Zionist movement, buying land throughout Israel and subsidizing Jewish settlements. He financed the first new Jewish town, Rishon Letzion ("the first of Zion"), as well as Zichron Yaakov, Caesarea and some 30 other settlements. He also established Israel's wine industry when he helped Russian Jews flee pogroms in the 1880s and plant vineyards in Israel. In 1954, Rothschild's remains were re-interred to Israel. To honor his memory, his son paid for the construction of the Knesset building in Jerusalem.

Aside from the rudeness, this comment is missing the point of why the two videos in question likely would not be watched. It is a combination of length, low production values, limited topics of interest to most people and type of presentation. Even a topic for which one might have a keen interest either of these would be hard to endure for long. I actually started to watch both of them. The first one was essentially a narrated power point using what sounded like a synthesized voice. Nothing that effectively hold ones attention for long. The first 5 full minutes of the second video was dead air time of video of an empty stage. If you waited through that the rest was mostly just lecture on a very narrow topic.

Jesus is the light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world. The grace of Christ made life and even birth possible or the race would have died the moment sin entered the race. Because of that grace we are born with blessings abounding and life happening, and nature continued though everything experienced the touch of the curse of sin, and particularly our nature being bent to sin. We are born sinners, into a life with suffering present, into an atmosphere of mercy and grace, and given light. What we do with that light we do with our destiny whether we ever hear the gospel or not. But because of the light, when we experience the message of the Gospel we are able to recognize it and respond. and depending on what we have chosen in response to the light we have been given we either hate more light or love it. Problems come with true spiritual teaching, because those who have had it then reject it are usually the most developed in evil, because they had privileges to be closer to God and when you reject God your darkness becomes greater. The world cannot reject what is not made known. Pharaoh's heart was increasingly hardened because he increasingly rejected every demonstration of truth that exposed his spiritual errors. One by one his god's were proved to be powerless and nothing. The very god's he had been worshiping were exposed, and he still turned from God. The world will not becomes worthy of the last plagues until they reject more and more completely the light of heaven, which that cannot do until it is made known. So True believers who reveal the character of Christ will bring the condemnation of the world, when they reveal God and His love becomes completely rejected. Just as Christ exposed Satan and uprooted any sympathy for him in all the angel host's and inhabited universe. It is progressive because sin is deceptive, and God is on a timeline clearing up the misconceptions and lies and deception. Over time God is cleansing the universe of sin in a way that does not violate his creation and does not violate His eternal character. So in the timeline of an infant from birth to the end of their life God alone is able to weigh and measure their participation in life, His light, sin, and mercy, and where their destiny will be.

It depends upon who you talk to. I am well aquainted with Lutherans and Baptists who do not believe that we are a cult. On the other hand, some of our members may relate to others as a cult.

I can imagine a great city 1500 miles on each side; but 1500 miles high? I'm not sure about that - seems like it would make the earth wobble. But it doesn't matter what I think about the city right now; what matters to me right now is getting there! Even though I can't wrap my head around it, I can't wait to get there! The older I get, the more I covet the energy of my youth. I can't wait to have that (and more!) given back to me.

Over the past few years I have thought about stuff like this and would like for you to consider the following: We know that there will not be any more massive waste of the earth's surface by being covered with water, but we also know that there is a major river running right thru the middle of the Holy City. I honestly believe that there will not only be beaches along that river but lakes and ponds, waterfalls and fountains! We know that the river comes from the throne of God and runs under the Tree of Life. We know from the Bible that there is land on either side of the river (where the tree grows) and so maybe there are other trees there too. Outside of that will be the streets of gold, but have you ever thought about there being 2 streets? Sounds like this is a divided highway leading right up to the throne! And while I am on the street topic, we know that the streets are of pure gold and transparent. We also know that Heaven's light will come from the throne. So what happens to light when it travels down something long and clear, like an optical fiber?
