Bro, While I sympathize with your concerns, I respectfully disagree with them. Suffice it to say that I do not consider myself ignorant of or naive about the gay agenda. I know enough to know that many (if not most) gays (at least the ones I know) are NOT activists and want nothing to do with them. I don't view anyone on here as promoting a gay agenda. I see people looking for community and God in spite of their issues. I'm looking for the same thing in spite of my issues.

I've said this many times before; but IMO the issue is not about baptism or acceptance by a denomination; it's about grace and acceptance by God. who a denomination decides to accept or not accept is immaterial. What is material is who God accepts. That's his business; not mine. Until I know more about a peron's life, I have no right to question their motives. There are those here on CA who are comfortable with believers who are dealing with hot-button issues, and there are those who are not. I am comfortable - I have a few issues myself. So who am I to call out someone else over their issues? If we were honest, I think many of us have issues that are distasteful to others here; so we don't share them. It takes courage to share hot-button personal issues here.

It seems like most of the threads in this forum right now, are arguing about this SAME QUESTION. Do we begin life "in Christ" ("justified", or "in the Book of LIfe", or "members of the family of God") until we choose to continue in sins and are "cut off" from "the camp" ? Or - do we begin life OUTSIDE of "the camp" (NOT "in Christ"), until we BELIEVE and enter into Covenant, and thus ENTER "the camp" of Israel ? No one is saying that one's name cannot be blotted out of the Book of Life prior to the coming of Christ. No once-saved-always-saved. Are we IN until we CHOOSE to leave? OR Are we OUT until we CHOOSE to enter? WHAT DIFFERENCE does it make - the answer to this question? It seems to all go back to the question, "What will God do with all the children, and those who never heard of Him or of Christ" - whose "sins" are only those of ignorance? Samie and Robert and most SDAs and evangelicals would agree that young children are given an automatic pass to immortal life in the Kingdom of God. Ignorant pagans, as well as ignorant slaves are left "as if they never were". They are not punished with the "lake of fire". (Although Baptists and Catholics DO say that they go to "Hell". ) Rachel says that each human being must CHOOSE whom he/she will serve. Whether they begin life IN, or begin life OUT - they MUST CHOOSE, in order to receive immortality. Those who die before they can understand, and thus choose, must be resurrected to continue their lives until they have CHOSEN. That is why I believe that the "rest of the dead" will be those who have not yet CHOSEN, whom they will serve. To say that infants and children will be given everlasting life - without ever having chosen to serve Christ - is to say that God will choose for them. He must then manipulate their minds (without their consent) in order to ensure their continued harmony with others in His Kingdom. THAT is just like UNIVERSALISM. NIV Daniel 12:11 "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. If indeed Christ's death (31 AD) is the event that put an end to the "daily", then what event fulfilled the setting up of the abomination of desolation 1290 days thereafter, as specified in the above verse itself? Why is it that Titus and his army's attack of Jerusalem in AD 70 is the one pointed to by many as the desolation spoken of by Jesus in Matt 24:15-21, using Luke 21:20ff in parallel, when 31 + 1290 goes far beyond 70AD, and up to 1321 AD where no significant event related to the abomination of desolation seemed to have occurred? Granting that the setting up of the abomination of desolation occurred either in AD70 or 1321 AD, then what event fulfilled the great tribulation or time of trouble in any of those dates? Jesus pointed out that the setting up of the abomination of desolation will trigger the start of the great tribulation, immediately followed by celestial phenomena and then capped by the Second Coming! The phrase "abomination of desolation" (Greek bde,lugma th/j evrhmw,sewj ) indicates that it is the "abomination" that will cause the desolation. In Daniel, the word "abomination" is from the Hebrew #Quvi (shiqquts). Elsewhere in the Old Testament, "shiqquts" refers to idols or images which pagans worship as their deities (see 1 Kings 11:5,7; 2 Kings 23:13). In Scriptures, there is only one image that will cause desolation to the end-time people of God shortly before the Second Coming. It is the image of the beast. Here's Scriptures: NKJ Revelation 13:15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

NIV Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." Many preachers teach that the "he" who will put an end to sacrifice and offering referred to in Dan 9:27 is Christ and that His death on the cross is the event that put an end to sacrifice and offering mentioned in the verse. I beg to disagree because the "he" referred to is likewise responsible for the setting up the abomination of desolation as explicitly stated in the verse itself. That abolition of sacrifices and setting up of the abomination of desolation is also mentioned in Dan 11:31 and spearheaded by the vile-person king described in Dan 11:36. Here are those verses: NIV Daniel 11: 31 "His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. 36 "The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place. Based on the above verses, it would be bordering on blasphemy for me to believe that it is Christ Who is being referred to in the foregoing verses cited.

Of course, we as a Man oriented culture since time began are offended with What offends God. All sin is offensive cause what it does toward each other and ultimately to HIM. But reading into the story what is not there is not right. Predatory behavior, whether its homosexual or heterosexual, is evil. As in the Bible says ,in the narrative of the flood, two things stuck out. Every thought in the heart of men were continually sin. And Violence ruled the land. Rape is an act of violence, domination, and humiliation that leaves scars for the rest of their lives. Preditorial people lived in Sodom. It seems like every where you turned.. Apparently came out at night. The People went to the market place by day and locked the door at night. What a scary place to live and bring up your children. And once Again in The Bible itself it spreads it all out Your younger sister was Sodom, who lived with her daughters in the south. 47 But you have not merely sinned as they did. You quickly surpassed them in corruption. 48 As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, Sodom and her daughters were never as wicked as you and your daughters. 49 Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door. 50 She was proud and committed detestable sins, so I wiped her out, as you have seen.[c] Could we read forced homosexual acts in 'committed detestable sins' ..well of course! I don't doubt that at all. It all comes down to what we do to each other. Whether its a proud look or same sex rape.It all offends our wonderful God. ​Being part of God's kingdom is not about being perfect. Being part of God's kingdom is about knowing and accepting the standard of what perfection is and saying, "That's what I want" and then letting God do His good work in you to bring it about. Even if we fall during the process of growth it's not a problem because we get back up again because that's what kingdom people do. The key is to understand and accept the Father's standard knowing that someday we will all be like Him. The Father is the standard for what kingdom people should be like.

So, I can gather from your response: 1) You do not know the title and content of the book that he signed. 2) Your dismissal of its spiritual content indicates that you are not aware of the spiritual content of some of his writings. NOTE: I do doubt that he has written much on the Pope as the "Man of sin," Which some SDAs seem to want to do. 3) Your sarcasm (not there to discuss the SS Lesson) is evident. 3) In short, the above suggests to me that you should not be taken seriously in any comment that you might make about Dr. Carson. NOTE: I am not a supporter of him in his run to become the President of the United States. But, I do believe that he should be treated fairly and with integrity. ​You are absolutely correct. We are all born with tendencies to sin. Some of us are born liars. Ever seen a little kid who will look you in the face and lie to you even though he knows you watched him do what he's denying he did? How about the little kid who won't lie but has a terrible temper that leads him into all kinds of trouble? How about the little kid who has girlfriends very early in life and ends up sleeping with them at an early age. All three of these kids have a bent towards a particular sin, yet there is no excuse with God for indulging it. The same with homosexuality. Just because there is, or isn't depending on who you believe, an inborn bent there is no excuse for sin. We can't make a practice of ANY sin and expect to get into heaven.

​Carson has stated again and again that he doesn't want to be a politician. He's staying true to what he says. And of course he is correct about the GOP. It is as corrupt and anti-constitutional as the Democrat party. I watched some of that interview and I have to say I agree with him wholeheartedly. I love him staying true to his convictions. He's a man of integrity and that is something missing from almost all politicians these days. If his name is on the primary ballot I'll vote for him then and in the general election.

The LORD gave several different laws for Israel, which we today understand were for the purpose of keeping Israel healthy, and giving them offspring. I will give a few examples. 1. Men were NOT to have sex with their wives when they were menstruating, and for 7 days following. (We understand today that the cervix is more open, and would allow any bacteria to travel more easily into the womb, and from there into the abdomen.) (We also know that waiting 14 days from the start of menses, puts a woman at her MOST FERTILE time. Children back then, were understood to be a BLESSING from God.) 2. Men were NOT to have sex with their wives for a period of time after childbirth. (Same reason.) 3. Men were to be circumcised. (We know from medical records beginning at WWI, that circumcised men contracted less venereal disease. And we know today, that their wives have a MUCH lower incidence of cervical cancer.) And yes - I believe it was also a symbolic prophecy. God can accomplish two purposes at the same time. 4. Men were NOT to have sex with their mother, sister, aunt, grand daughter, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law or anyone "near of kin". (Yes - I know that Moses married his aunt, and Abraham his half sister. The LORD was setting a new standard.) 5. A man was NOT to have sex with another man in the same manner, in which he had sex with a women. (Health reasons already sited.) 6. Any kind of sex involving a "beast" was forbidden. 7. Adultery was forbidden. (We all KNOW how venereal disease spreads.) #'s 4-6 "Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants." (Lev. 18:24-25) "And you shall not walk in the statutes of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them." (Lev 20:23 NKJ) "For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people" (Lev 18:29). There was NO SACRIFICE prescribed. No means of return to "the people". Which is WHY churches today, tend to shun the people who are known to have committed these things. Incidentally, Tel Aviv is know as the gay capital of the Middle East. 7. Scavengers, carnivores, and bottom feeders were forbidden as food items. 9. They were NOT to eat fat or the blood. 10. Those identified as having a skin disease or a bodily discharge, were quarantined, UNTIL healing was established. 11. It was forbidden to eat of a sacrificed animal after 2 days. I always wondered why they could not have dried the meat, in that desert climate. I realize it was a prophecy of Christ coming back to life on the 3rd day, rather than his flesh seeing "corruption". Maybe it promoted sharing, rather than hording. Blessings
