I've got a lot of fun memories of my Dad. I was 3 1/2 years old and it was Christmastime. My mom took me and my brother down to the department store to see Santa Claus. I remember being in absolute AWE because Santa knew my name, and he knew exactly what I wanted for Christmas (a book). It wasn't until years later that I finally figured out that Santa had been my Dad. Then over the years, Dad played Santa for Portland-area high schools, community centers, and any place he was asked. Another vivid memory I have is when Dad and I went hunting for a gold mine in the hills just west of here. In the 1930's an old Indian would come into town with gold nuggets that he'd mined. No one could ever find where it was, but it had to be fairly close, as he was always on foot. Dad and I figured the mine had to be on the Round Top mountain. So, one Sunday we decided to take my brother's big 14-passenger van out for a drive, and then decided to go up Round Top. We got onto a deeply rutted logging trail winding up the mountainside, full of rocks and bushy overgrowth on either side. We managed to break off one of the side mirrors as we chugged up the side of the mountain. After 30 minutes we came to the top, where there was an old lookout tower. But also on top of the mountain was a group of the notorious Outsiders Motorcycle club. I don't know who was more shocked.... me and Dad, or the cyclists watching in disbelief as this big ol' van came around the rocky top. LOL Dad and I got out and looked around for a stream or any evidence of a mine, but it was so dry, nothing was evident. After about 45 minutes, we decided we'd better head back home..... THEN we noticed we had a flat tire. On top of the mountain. With nobody by the cyclists looking at us. Dad looked at me, and I looked at Dad. Dad said, I hope your brother has a spare tire in the van. I said, "I hope so too, because if he doesn't, I'm not the one who's going to walk back down the mountain and hitchhike into town." LOL Well, we did find a spare, got the tire changed, and made it back home. I always wondered if my brother found out how the mirror got busted.

Suicide is not the unforgiven sin that keeps people out of an eternity with Christ! God's plan of salvation includes mentally ill people! Your list of mental health conditions clearly places you in a place where you will have struggles. The message of the gospel is NOT that you will never have any of these. Rather it is that God will walk with you as your path through life takes you into those situations. It will probably be that you will find more relief from some than you do from others. In any case, keep up the work with mental health professionals, take your medications as proscribed and work on maintaining your relationship with God. He will not leave you.

We heard many times that angeles appear to us human being throughout the ages and throughout the world. I am just wondering what ethnic form do the angeles appear. Do they appear in black to black people, and Asian form to the Asians, and so on?

God's LAW flows from His person - from His nature. God created LAW. It's the WAY THINGS WORK. Like the "Law of gravity" for instance. It's "cause and effect". Violation of LAW, results in ill effects for us and for those around us. Humankind sinned.... How to reverse the effects???? Only HEALING could reverse the effects. But HEALING must be allowed. It cannot be artificially imposed (That would be manipulation.) CONSENT must be given/obtained - which requires the restoration of TRUST. HENCE - Christ came to restore TRUST in God. God's Law - as revealed to Israel - did NOT ALLOW one man to be punished for another's sin. I have always felt the notion that God killed His own Son, to receive payment for our sins (to satisfy the claims of the Law), does NOT give a correct, or at least a full understanding. ONLY fully healed persons will be ABLE to live in peace with each other and with God, for all eternity. HERE we only consent to the healing process. We do THAT when we acknowledge Christ as LORD and healer. Some folks drop out of the program. Some folks never consent. Some folks consent for the wrong reasons. Some folks never KNEW about the healing program. Robert has folks who NEVER CONSENTED - just automatically healed, because Christ "paid the price". It seems to me that Robert's doctrine is the more legalistic.

I've seen two angels that I knew to be angels (after the fact, usually it's after the fact). One appeared to be Hispanic and the other was Caucasian. I think it would all dependson what the occasion needed it to be, since they can also take any shape, the Hispanic angel was a tall, thin older man and the Caucasian angel was a cheerleader-type girl. I've also heard stories where the angels appeared to others but not to the person they were sent to protect. So it just all depends.

Thanks, Gail. She is comfortable enough with only an occasional breakthrough pain which I manage with short-acting meds.

The object aimed at. The intention of.... Christ is the point of the law. He is the intention of the law. He is the object the law is aimed at. The law is the schoolmaster that brings us to Christ. Unless we want to try to make Paul disagree with himself we must accept this definition of "end". The law is not the final point. It's the beginning point. It is the thing that points us to the finish line. It's the thing that points us to Christ. That is its job. That is its purpose. That is why it exists. And, when it has pointed us to our need of Christ it has done its job. When we have complied with its intent, that we need Christ, we are no longer under its condemnation. We have done what it requires of us. Its intention is to point us to Him.

Yes, both my wife and I feel the same: It was time as she did not have a life. She went in peace, without pain.

My perception of Barely Adventist is that it is us laughing at ourselves. That is what I get from other Adventists when I mention it to them. E.G> ME talking about "Wham" is me laughing at me eating it. It is O.K. to laugh at yourself. Healthy people can do that.

Enoch, Moses, and Elijah were not Christians; they are in heaven already.
