I am so sorry you and your wife are going through this Gerry. Prayers. Regarding your question, depends. Sounds like she is somewhat comfortable sometimes, so it would not be as hard for the child to see as if she was in a lot of pain. Maybe when she was resting quietly she could see the children, and they could know before she is very sick. I do not think this would be traumatic unless she looks very unusual now. So I would say if it was a planned visit, it could be okay.

While I think there ought to be gun control, that disarms the average American that has no ill-will towards anyone and are in their right mind and has the ability to determine when and where to pull that trigger. It will be only another excuse to withdraw our rights as American citizens. And yes, soon our rights to assemble together to worship on the Sabbath will be also outlawed, bringing in the law that we MUST worship on Sundays.

I have lived through and experienced segregation in this country. I know what it looks like, I know how it feels. I watched the civil rights marches, various forms of justice, or injustice. I know all about black crime. No need to remind me. But for some johnny come lately from Asia or where ever to ask 'why blacks segregate ourselves?' What kind of @#A is that? "Is it out of desperation?" Yes you could say that. But this is the kind of ignorant, type first, don't bother to become informed blather you get on message boards. I am not surprised, and I should not be bothered.

Jesus did not BECOME a priest UNTIL after He rose from the dead, and ascended to Heaven. Right? Or do you believe that He was high priest from the moment that Adam sinned? Before Jesus DIED as 'the one true offering" - there was NO BLOOD, with which to anoint the Heavenly "true tabernacle". How then were the sins of those who died before Christ, transferred to the Heavenly Tabernacle? Did they just pile up somewhere, in a sins database - waiting for the blood of Christ to transfer them to the Heavenly Tabernacle ? Personally, I see the blood of the sacrifice as declaring BELIEF in God and His promise of forgiveness. I think it's the BELIEF that is registered in Heaven - NOT the specific sin.

Yes I do agree. I do not see this as such a clear cut issue however, and those who predict a yes vote will split or end the church do not appear to be bearing in mind the Ellen White quotes that say this will never happen. To me, there is significant evidence on both sides, and their inference of a descent into heresy does not hold.

Her counterpoint to policy was profoundly simple - What is our priority? Policy or people? The weight of our rules and regulations (policy) is not unlike the heavy burden, the yoke around the neck of the Jewish people that Jesus referred to. Jesus demonstrated the answer that people are to be our priority. It is not unlike a question I have posed a number of times - "To God, which is more important, His law, or people?"

Just a note: Human nature is the problem. The flag is only a symbol of part of human nature (supremacy & hate). Taking the flag down (and it wouldn't hurt my feelings) won't solve the issue. Where you have "self" you have division. I like how Jack Sequeria puts it:

I think the actual rate in the US is falling too, over all, though with much bigger numbers, partly due to have 10x the population and partly (in my opinion) due to greater inequality.

Any thoughts why your next door neighbor has a much higher rate?

God's LAW flows from His person - from His nature. God created LAW. It's the WAY THINGS WORK. Like the "Law of gravity" for instance. It's "cause and effect". Violation of LAW, results in ill effects for us and for those around us. Humankind sinned.... How to reverse the effects???? Only HEALING could reverse the effects. But HEALING must be allowed. It cannot be artificially imposed (That would be manipulation.) CONSENT must be given/obtained - which requires the restoration of TRUST. HENCE - Christ came to restore TRUST in God. God's Law - as revealed to Israel - did NOT ALLOW one man to be punished for another's sin. I have always felt the notion that God killed His own Son, to receive payment for our sins (to satisfy the claims of the Law), does NOT give a correct, or at least a full understanding. ONLY fully healed persons will be ABLE to live in peace with each other and with God, for all eternity. HERE we only consent to the healing process. We do THAT when we acknowledge Christ as LORD and healer. Some folks drop out of the program. Some folks never consent. Some folks consent for the wrong reasons. Some folks never KNEW about the healing program. Robert has folks who NEVER CONSENTED - just automatically healed, because Christ "paid the price". It seems to me that Robert's doctrine is the more legalistic.
