    The Vote on WO

In one week (July 8) the vote for Women's Ordination will be cast. The results will become a permanent part of the records of General Conference 2015. After all the discussions; some have been in respectful attempts to understand, others have been hostile & closed minded filled with condescension. Millions of hours, and dollars have been spent on this issue. In my opinion, money and time which could have been used to spread the Gospel and hasten our Lords return. Be that as it may. God is still in control. How will you feel if the vote does not go the way you wish? Will you still love and work for our Remnant Church or will you walk away in anger and disbelief? During the net 8 days let's pray without ceasing that not our will but the Lord's Will Be Done Blessings ~N

    The Vote on WO

If the General Conference of 1923 did not cause me to leave the church a mistake in 2015 won't make me leave the church. we will just continue to study and share and allow information to grow and continue to evaluate the evidence. Granted I was not yet born in 1923 and did not live through the witch hunts that stemmed from it. But despite our horrible choices then, heroes like A. G. Daniels, W. W. Prescott and Willie White did their best with the General Conference choosing heresy. The horrible choices at that General Conference did not prevent people like Lynn Harper Wood and Edwin Thiele and Horn and Heppenstall and the Maxwell brothers, Paul Heubech, Alden Thompson and others from developing in the church. We will in the long term find the same here. This would do nothing more than delay what we hope for as God leads us back into the wilderness while this generation dies in the wilderness and bring the next generation back to the shores of Jordan.

    The Vote on WO

I will not leave (any more than I have already left) the denomination. Denominational affiliation doesn't mean that much to me. For me, the annointing of the Holy Spirit - not the approval of a denomination - will determine whom I allow to influence my spiritual education. A church-appointed pastor (male or female) holds less sway with me than one who has demonstrated the covering of the Holy Spirit over thier ministry. I will always remain a "cultural" SDA because of my commitment to the main tenets of the faith contained in our name - the Sabbath and the soon-coming of our Lord King Jesus.

    Geneeral Conference News

Note: My information comes from a variety of sources and may not have the same level of accuracy.Yesterday began with a local TV station report on the upcoming SDA Convention which is the largest convention every held in the history of SA! Residents of SA were warned that if they planned to depart from the SA airport anytime through July 13, they needed to plan for at least two hours in line before their scheduled flight. local restaurants began posting vegetarian menus yesterday. Some, I am told are selling tickets for Sabbath meals. One woman reported in to a local hotel and asked if it was safe to walk in the area for exercise. She was told that she would likely notice hundreds of blue shirted people also walking. Those were SDA clergy and she would be safe The Convention Center already has hundreds of people setting up booths in the hall, and it has many people running around doing whatever they do. Many Adventists have arrived. The Virgin Islands has sent a large group of non-delegates. They were bused yesterday to a vegan restaurant named THE GREEN who was expected to feed them all in time for them to get back to whatever they were doing. Similar situations are said to exist at many other local restaurants. More later as the day progresses and I receive more reports.

What is your position on homosexuality?

//we have no reason to believe the gays in Sodom and Gomorrah we getting married and adopting children. So it is quite possible they were very narcissistic// We have no reason to believe the people in Sodom and Gomorrah were gay at all. We know they were indiscriminate rapists, we don't know anything about whether any of them were gay by orientation, or the kinds of gay people who might like to marry each other. You're drawing a long, long bow on very flimsy evidence, Shane. I think gay people are people: with all the vices and virtues of people, and probably distributed in about the same ratios. hch - right: you skip the prawns and oysters, but do you also skip haircuts and shaving and wearing clothes woven from mixed fibres? All those things are in that couple of chapters too. Here's an interesting one from Leviticus 19: 33 “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God. How do *you* feel about 'illegals'?

GAY Marriage legal in All 50 States

I used to work with two nurses that repeatedly got into a heated discussion... Mertice would say, "If the girls would only keep their skirts down..." And Helen would reply, "If boys would only keep their zippers zipped..." One day when Mertice and Helen were rehashing this contentious topic, A co-worker, Lynn, asked if I had figured out why Mertice and Helen were so sure of their facts Lynn explained: "Mertice has 3 sons and Helen has 3 daughters." Isn't it interesting how this topic reminds me of that?

  11. Gay marriage ruling, liberal activists, plus the IRS equals big trouble for 'corporate' Churches By Keith Edwards Since the IRS code was amended in 1954 to include “churches” as 501(c)(3) “tax exempt” corporations, only one church has lost its tax-exempt status for violating the IRS code. Unfortunately, that statistic may be about to increase drastically due to the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. Thanks to the efforts of Texas Democrat senator Lyndon B. Johnson in 1954, almost every church in America today is registered under the 501(c)(3) IRS code. Johnson promoted the amendment to change the IRS code as what he called a “favor” to churches, but a closer look at history reveals that his ulterior motive was to encourage churches to “formally” register with the IRS for mostly political reasons. It seems the real reason Johnson wanted to have churches under the control of the IRS was because he believed they were gaining too much political power through their influence from the pulpit over millions of registered voters. In essence, Johnson wanted to legally silence churches by having them relinquish their constitutional rights under the First Amendment by becoming legal corporate entities subject to the dictates of the State and enforced by the IRS. Based on last week’s gay marriage ruling by the Supreme Court, churches registered as 501(c)(3) corporations may find Johnson’s efforts less of a “favor” and more of a catastrophe. While most church leaders ignorantly believe that their “churches” have some sort of protected constitutional rights, as registered 501(c)(3) corporations, they actually have none. When churches register with the State as 501(c)(3) corporations, they relinquish all “personal” constitutional rights and are governed totally by the dictates of the IRS law through what is known as an “artificial person.” And since this artificial person is created solely by the power of the State, all churches’ rights, along with their existence, are subject to and limited by the dictates of the 501(c)(3) IRS code – not the Constitution. Since the SCOTUS ruling on gay marriage, there has been much talk and alarm about churches losing their tax-exempt status. And because most churches have voluntarily decided since 1954 to become “unequally yoked” with the State, their fears are well founded. With regard to the State’s power over churches in the matter of upholding Supreme Court Rulings under federal law, what Caesar giveth – Caesar can take away! Regardless of why churches choose to register with the IRS as tax-exempt corporations, based on the following excerpt from one study, under the new court ruling on gay marriage, 501(c)(3) churches are now stuck between a rock and a hard place: Most church leaders believe they are obligated by law to register with the IRS to get their tax-exempt status, but the First Amendment clearly dictates that there has never been any need for churches to formally register with the IRS – neither before the First Amendment’s adoption in 1791 nor since the 1954 IRS law change. Churches have always been tax-exempt since the First Amendment was enacted. This excerpt from another study lays out the facts: The government has shown since 1954 to be very lenient in its assessment of what could be considered violations of the IRS law, but Friday’s Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage, along with a highly volatile liberal social climate in America, may lead liberal activists to demand that the government begin scrutinizing more closely the actions and speech of churches regarding gay rights.” Hushmoney.com The bottom line for corporate churches is this: if a church is registered with the IRS under the 501(c)(3) code, then whatever happens now is completely “on them.” In essence, the church has no one to blame but itself for the mess it is in now. Fortunately for churches that are not formally registered with the IRS, they can continue operating without any fear of government or IRS retribution. (Notwithstanding the forthcoming liberal social persecution, which will be quite intense.) Not being registered as a 501(c)(3) renders the IRS impotent, leaving the State with no legal mechanism or right to revoke a church’s guaranteed First Amendment tax-exempt status. In conclusion, if there is any notion that this court ruling is the “end-game” for the liberal gay agenda, think again. President Obama sent this tweet out after the court ruling. Note that President Obama did not say today was the “final” step; which means the march will continue for the LGBT movement. So are churches the “next” big step in the liberal march toward equality? Surely in some Democrat political back room, someone is saying he wishes LBJ were here to see this. Is Islam in the Book of Revelation 9 as Explained below?

JoeMo, your last paragraph is quite telling. This global economic state is coming from American corporations and rather than Islam conquering us, they too will have to submit to the growing economic pressures. It is this economic system that is the 7th head. It is different from the others that it does not get power from the sward but from people joining for the peace and economic advantages of joining.

Wonderful, talented and dedicated woman. I had not seen her for a number of years. (I think the last time was in the GC cafeteria when she cam back to help out with some project after she had retired.) While I didn't have opportunity to work with her a lot, I did on a few occasions. I have also been well acquainted with the work of TEAM and a number of the other friends that I have that have kept TEAM going. I went to academy with her daughter, Paula Jo, who passed away a number of years ago. I am also acquainted with Beverly since we were both members at Sligo and from living in Takoma Park for about 12 years. She will be missed. The legacy of her work will live on. Nothing would be more of an affirmation to her than if the Church truly moves forward on the WO issue next week.

Should We Abandon our 666 traditional Interpretation?

We don't need to abandon it, however we need to modify it as we have learned more. Apparently the original application comes from the name Nimrod and the number is a symbol of his rebellion. Then Nero depending on if he wrote his full name or the abbreviation came out to either 666 or 616 (both numbers we find in ancient manuscripts.) If I recall correctly Nero was the 6th Emperor (counting Julius Caesar) and a horrible monster for persecution. When he died there was a reprieve in the horrible persecution but the spirit of Nero was healed under the persecution of Domitian. We find the same spirit in say the inquisition and other persecutions from the papacy. So we can apply 666 to the papacy but it is not the only application. Their are many antichrists, the beast in Revelation is the composite of all of these. The French Revolution, communist persecution and the fundamentalist Islam persecutions are among them. Anything that replaces Christ in our life is a part of the beast. The 7 heads are the 7 great periods of Babylon, Medio-persia, Greece, Rome, Holy Roman Empire (including Papal Supremacy), the deadly wound and the deadly wound being healed: including the healing of the 666 Nimrod rebellion and 666 Nero-Domitian-Papal persecution.

O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy "Fear not then," said the Angel, "Let nothing you affright, This day is born a Saviour Of a pure Virgin bright, To free all those who trust in Him From Satan's power and might." O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy The shepherds at those tidings Rejoiced much in mind, And left their flocks a-feeding In tempest, storm and wind: And went to Bethlehem straightway The Son of God to find. What is your position on homosexuality?

There are a lot of folks that could use some quality time with the Bible. When things that God says are important do's and don'ts: they are important. But when God's dietary laws are tossed out as if they do not matter, it is easier to throw out other instructions that are equally important or more so. A selected messages mentality picks and chooses personal preferences.

While that is pretty funny - it is useful in pointing out the difference between the real application of Roman - (Latin names) that were actually used in keeping with John who is writing at the time of the Roman Empire -- vs just toying with English letters as if English were Latin because it is 'funny' to do that with English letters.

Wow! Even pig-eaters! Well, I know some cows that say we should eat more chicken. If I were to give my opinion of the biggest sinners in that group list above, it would be gossips. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Proverbs has a lot to say about tale-bearers. Ezekiel 28:16 states that Lucifer's merchandise resulted in him being filled with violence and sinning. What was Lucifer selling? Since we know he is the father of lies and the accuser of the brethren,,, perhaps what he was selling was a juicy story. So gossip could be one of the original sins right next to pride. Most certainly, it has little to do with love.

    Dr. Patricia Habada

Dr Pat Habada was a member of my local church and an amazing lady. The last time that I visited with Paul & Pat it was obvious that time was drawing near for the Lord to call her home. Her contributions will long be recognized. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`` By AT News Team, June 24, 2015: The educator who oversaw the production of many of the textbooks used in Adventist schools in North America and coordinated the development of the current children’s Sabbath School curriculum for the denomination died last week (June 18). Dr. Patricia A. B. Habada was 86. In the 1990s she joined the General Conference Sabbath School staff and was the primary coordinator and general editor for the GraceLink curriculum for children which is now used worldwide in many languages. It was the first complete refreshing of the materials for children’s Sabbath School in many decades, and a very complicated task involving large numbers of writers, illustrators and designers along with a wide range of considerations and concerns about the needs of children at various age levels, learning styles, theology and methods of instruction. “The GraceLink curriculum was a monumental achievement,” a retired church administrator familiar with the project told Adventist Today. “She had the patience and the depth of understanding to bring it together and see it through. It has given the denomination a very high quality religious education framework.” In 1988, Habada took on the issue of ordination for women serving in the Adventist clergy. She launched an independent educational organization named Time for Equality in Adventist Ministry (TEAM) which has provided significant research in Adventist history and theology, as well as raised funds to assist many young women in pursuing ministerial training in Adventist colleges and universities around the globe. In 1995, TEAM published The Welcome Table: Setting a Place for Ordained Women, which included papers from 14 Adventist historians, Bible scholars and administrators. It was later translated into Spanish and distributed throughout Latin America. Habada was the coeditor of the volume along with Pastor Rebecca Brillhart. Habada “modeled the humility, courage and personal sacrifice it takes to initiate and sustain systemic institutional change,” Brillhart said, reflecting on the many years they worked together. Brillhart has been a pastor at Sligo Church on the campus of Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Maryland, and at the campus church at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. She is currently a consultant to nonprofit organizations and based in Sacramento, California. Habada is survived by Paul, her husband of 66 years; two daughters, Shirley Harvey and husband Donald of Nashville (Tennessee) and Beverly Habada of Adelphi, Maryland; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is mourned by many, many friends throughout the global Adventist community. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to TEAM. These are tax-deductible in the United States and can be mailed to Box 7816, Langley Park, Maryland 20787.

For that to be half true - the "Vicarius Filii Dei" title could not have existed before J.N. Andrews came along to "invent it". The web site ignores centuries worth of irrefutable history where the Catholics themselves place that title in supposedly infallible Canon Law - in legal documents and admit to it in their own "Our Sunday Visitor". Were we simply "not supposed to notice" and just "blame all those catholic sources on Adventists"??? Where do they come up with those ideas? Who buys it?? in Christ, Bob

Should We Abandon our 666 traditional Interpretation?

Well the number is man and finally someone has got it right. However, did you all read the whole thing? Because as the Bible stated some will lose sight of the truth altogether! Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Rev 13:18 The number is the beast through different periods! It takes ELOHIM'S wisdom and not interpretation because the Bible make it clear not to interpret, instead seek understanding! Most do not understand because they do not put the whole story together which is mainly found in 18 along with Dan chap 7! ELOHIM works different then we do, so THE FATHER builds up the story in Revelation giving each time more detail understanding. It is not giving all at one time because have to understand it in simple pieces like a puzzle! Quickly, the fourth beast was different from the other three. Dan vision was totally different from the king, these beasts or empires YAHWEH was dealing with was about their religions. That is what ELOHIM is all about going away from the Word of Truth! YAHSHUA was giving to Daniel that Nimrod's one world religion was uniting under one umbrella. YAHWEH showed that the three kingdoms had united part of Nimrod's religion that was totally against truth! The fourth beast who was totally different was not one empire but both kings and empires that would go through periods. Daniel saw the beast in his first stage and described the same beast that John saw! Dan 7:7-12, 19 21 · and it had great iron teeth: Rome · his nails of brass: Greece · it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: Persia · and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; It was not just Rome, it was many other pagan religious united Then John sees the same beast through time where there seven known empires attached to his head. We are dealing with their religion and these empires relation to ELOHIM'S people or truth. Keep in mind there were other empires, but they did not interact with ELOHIM'S chosen people, which was both the Canaanites and then the Hebrews. These empires are Egypt, Assyria, Neo-Babylon, Persia, Greece, Pagan Rome and finally Papal Rome. All of these empires had religion that intertwine with each other but united under Papal Rome the little horn and the seventh head! Rev 13:1-3 · having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads names of blasphemy. The beast had seven heads beside his head! · And the beast I saw was like a leopard, Greece is the body! · and his feet were like the feet of a bear, Persia is the feet · and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. Babylon of Nimrod that became Neo-Babylon later in time! (The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I was looking until its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and it was given a man’s heart. Dan 7:4) Here is the wisdom and now you can count the beast itself because it has always been a man with imperfection. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. Rev 17:8-11 How plain is the Bible if you have the Wisdom of THE HOLY SPIRIT that will lead you into all truth!! Three different time periods of the beast and we can't see it with the naked eye, we need eyesalve! · 6- that was Nimrod he was the first beast, he created Babylon or Babel confusion! · 6-is not was beast, the little horn plucked three up completely and became the empire of combining all of Nimrod's pagan beliefs together the Papacy! · 6-even he is the eighth and final beast who was brought up a Catholic but left to and join completely with the devil! This is the son of perdition YASHUA was talking about and Paul who saw him take the temple and sit in THE MOST HOLY PLACE! I cannot explain it all here but this is the man and this is what 666 truly means. The beast left the Catholic Church; he was their prodigy who was raise to rule the world for the Catholic Church. He realizes that she lied and he hates her and changes yes changes his belief! He accepts Satan and knows who he is and believe another lie again that Satan should rule the Universe and that Satan lost his rightful rule in Heaven! He is giving his power to take the earth, while Satan takes the Universe he thinks. He has to prove to Satan that he can take the earth and defeat YAHSHUA! The beast first must get rid of the whore and her city Jerusalem, but this is all in ELOHIM'S plan. The battle is Armageddon between the beast and the Catholic Church, while YAHSHUA is returning and probation is closed! Read it for yourself Rev Chapters 11, 13, 15-19 Blessings!

    Ty Gibson on Women's Ordination

Should We Abandon our 666 traditional Interpretation?

What I learned or was taught many years ago. Was that "777" represented the Holy Trinity, and that "666" represented the unholy trinity.

To by like God and have the ability to create a new world is foundational to understanding why Eve (and Adam) ate the mango. O.K. I know it was not a mango. But, there is no reason to believe it was an American apple.

What is your position on homosexuality?

One more time: the sins of Sodom were primarily (as stated in the Bible) in their treatment of the vulnerable and poor, not homosexuality. Certainly America has much to fear if it is to be called to account for those particular sins.
