23For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past....Romans 3 37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. 38"Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure-- pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."…Luke 6 God is Love! Jesus saves!

A little correction to your post. The topic or the lifestyle of the gay/lesbian community is not a great concern. there were several that were co-workers of mine and they were well respected by most of us. They took their breaks with all of us,went out for breakfast following work and there wasn't any friction whatsoever. I have two friends that are lesbian and have been good friends for years. We celebrate birthdays together, frequently go out for dinner, absolutely no friction. The concern and friction comes for me when I am told the bible really doesn't mean what it says. If I believe what it says I am somehow a intolerant, self righteous hypocrite.I do get concerned with SDA members that make the bible of little importance regarding this issue, along with those that have a difficult time posting without condemning "those other guys". You know the ones, those that disagree that a gay/lesbian lifestyle is biblical. Regardless of any biblical scholar or SDA pastor or member, this says something very specific For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper…” -Romans 1:24-28

    Using Bible 2 Block JESUS

No, I hadn't seen it (until now; I watched it). A couple of things I particularly noted: 1.Every act of withholding love is rebellion against God. 2.Jesus came not for a good looking bride, but for a real bride. Thanks for the link!

Bonnie: this is a topic that you are more concerned about than I am and I have appreciated your posts too much here to have friction now. I've shared what I learned from AUC and Loma Linda. I'll leave it here and move on to topics that I have more interest in and more study in.

I applaud the courage of these women. They were not listened to then, but now with all the coverage things may be changing.

Do you ever feel like God has left you?

There are several kinds of experiences with God that have similar feelings attached to them and you may wish to study. !. Dark night of the soul 2. Brass heavens 3. Night of Jacob's wrestling Dark night of the soul seems to be most prevalent in the Catholic tradition, although I tend to think it happens in any Christian tradition. Brass heavens is related by some to prayers that seemingly go unanswered. Jacob's night is said to be the time of Jacob sensing his guilt and sins coming between him and God. All three are interesting topics and worth studying as I tend to think everyone goes thru such times sooner or later in their experience with God. Could it be your test of faith or times when you are tried more than others or both? Most important is, God does not lie and he keeps his promises

Thanks, that was very encouraging and your absolutely right about taking small steps. Also, i think I'm going to start listening to an audio Bible as well. I hate reading so maybe this will be a good path for me to ground myself better in the word Thanks again

Do you ever feel like God has left you?

I think that our emotions tend to be unreliable, fluctuating up and down in our relationships, whether with God, a friend, or a spouse. After all, emotions are transitory electro-chemical responses to our mental triggers. If a person makes that commitment to join the Kingdom and become a follower of Christ, they should know that there will be ups and downs, just a result of our biological humanness. God, via Spirit, is able to read our minds and understand our weaknesses. The feeling of distance is probably something that we have all gone through, not being able to see or hear the God whom we wish to `serve. I also think that our minds have difficulty making sudden, major changes in lifestyles and beliefs, so we have to take small steps lest we stumble off the path and back onto the rocks or into the ditches. If we do stumble, we just have to pick ourselves up and walk, or crawl, back to the pathway to the Kingdom. Eventually, we will all learn from our mistakes and become stronger in our resistance to the temptations that lure us to transgress the laws of the Kingdom of YHVH. I almost always listen to the audio Bible after climbing into bed just to clear my mind of the days events so that I can get some quality sleep. Sometimes there's a moment of clarity in which a phrase arrests my attention and points me, hopefully, to a better understanding of the Kingdom. I felt spiritually dead for many years until joining CA. That's when two members shot me through the heart and woke me up in the Desire of Ages forum. That topic has been deleted for some time now, but that's where my spiritual batteries started charging back up. We all have to overcome bad traits of character or bad habits, but once our batteries have some juice in them, we have begun our journey to the Land of God. The audio Bible that I listen to is the New Living Translation narrated by Mike somebody who has a pleasant voice, unlike several other productions. I think he used to have a late-night radio program.

convert a photo into a mosaic

The filter used to make the mosaic has some unusual images, including smiley and frowney faces. Photoshop has a number of filters that can be used to alter images, such as watercolor, sepia, embossed, fisheye, etc.
