a lot of wisdom from a 6-year-old... Her parents had gotten a divorce, and when the dad had come over to help with something, he and the ex-wife began to argue. Here's what Tiana, their little daughter, had to say....2 points -

And people say they like Carson because he's a Strict Constitutionalist. Guess he missed this bit of Article VI: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.2 points -

But making anyone's faith a test for office... is inconsistent with the constitution! In any sane logic, Carson just disqualified himself.1 point -

Carson was very clear on what he said Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said on Sunday that Muslims were unfit to be president of the United States, arguing their faith was inconsistent with American principles. Carson, a Christian who says he got the idea for his tax proposals from the Bible, said he thought a U.S. president's faith should be "consistent with the Constitution." If the Muslim faith is inconsistent with our constitution he should not be president of a country where the constitution and his faith are at opposite ends1 point -
The failure of the Mission of the Church
GayatfootofCross reacted to Aliensanctuary for a topic
One of the problems that we face is that religions create walls that separate classes of humans. Jesus Christ didn't belong to a religion, and therefore, did not have to worry about contaminating himself by mingling with sinners in their homes. He had no particular religion to promote, only obedience to his and his Father's commands. The teachings of Christ transcend all religions and are the key to eternal life if they are followed. When we isolate ourselves in Saturday morning churches, mainly for entertainment, for some, we put up roadblocks on the path to the Kingdom. If we can put our brain-washing denominationalism behind us, then we can become wide-open workers for the Kingdom of YHVH.1 point -

BREAKING: Federal Judge Makes Stunning Order To Kim Davis
Arwen reacted to bonnie for a topic
Far more than that has been said, that is a fact. I believe she is wrong in the way she handled it,does that make her a pharisee and hypocrite? Judging her motives and condemning her as a hypocrite is a little different Basically she has an unsavory past,by those that do not judge don't let anyone forget that. True repentence/forgivness is sufficient for God to "forget" that, not for many here. Because you don't agree with her stand She is a hypocrite because she has a past she has put behind her and you want her past front and center to any decision she makes from here on or is it just on the gay marriage issue1 point -

It is a good thing the Lord has help remembering as He is prone to forget in the instance of sincere repentance . This woman never condemned anyone, whether right or wrong she simply stated her convictions and was prepared to walk the walk. John 8:3-12New International Version (NIV) 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” From what anyone here knows personally of this woman she did exactly that.1 point -
The Vote on WO

I will not leave (any more than I have already left) the denomination. Denominational affiliation doesn't mean that much to me. For me, the annointing of the Holy Spirit - not the approval of a denomination - will determine whom I allow to influence my spiritual education. A church-appointed pastor (male or female) holds less sway with me than one who has demonstrated the covering of the Holy Spirit over thier ministry. I will always remain a "cultural" SDA because of my commitment to the main tenets of the faith contained in our name - the Sabbath and the soon-coming of our Lord King Jesus.1 point
